the world by storm, being published in Sweden, Finland, Germany, The
Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Great Britain, Brazil and

Tone Finnanger designs all of the Tilda products herself: the books and
other printed works, plywood figures, stamps and stencils, paint and metal works. She is schooled in drawing, design, graphic design and traditional painting handwork techniques. She worked as an interior decorator
and window dresser until she started the Tilda company in 1999.

Designer Tine Solheim invites us into a world filled with shapes and
colours. Here one can find patterns both for beginners and those with
experience. A dream-book for anyone looking for inspiration for colours,
materials and techniques: the patterns range from simple summer attire
to more traditional winter clothing.
Masked Ball gives readers that little extra, and demonstrates that it doesn’t
require very much: with a few beads and perhaps a crocheted edge, one
can create that element to make that sweater, dress or handbag special.
All the patterns are collected in a booklet that is easy to take with you.
Masked Ball also gives the reader another experience through poetry,
quotations and some wise words spicing up the book.
Tine Solheim is Norway’s most prominent clothing- and costume desig-
ner. She studied at École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, and worked as an intern with Yves St. Laurent and Per Spook in Paris.
For nearly 30 years, she has designed haute couture, costumes, formalwear, wedding gowns and wardrobes for a number of actors, performers,
artists and other media figures. In recent years she has also created knitted designs for Norwegian magazines.

A quilt’s seams provide a strong sense of depth, but
there are other ways to emphasize the three-dimensional impression. These
are especially decorative in wall hangings and murals. By using cotton batting
and allowing sections of the pattern to rise from the background, one can
create a fine three-dimensional image. Another possibility is to use several
layers one on top of the other.
An exciting, new technique that inspires a playful approach to material
