The Ballina Shire real estate market has made significant gains since the price declines in 2011 & 2012. Some areas have performed better than others but overall the increase in the median house price over the last 2 years has been in the vicinity of 14%. There is no doubt that a sustained period of record low interest rates has seen a renewal in buyer confidence which is evidenced by the fact that the volume of residential sales in the Ballina Shire has increased by some 32% over a 12 month period. Another positive factor is that over the last 2 years the number of investors buying in the Ballina market has increased from 29% to 38% of all residential sales. Below are the details on how various suburbs have performed over the past 2 years.
