“Hop” Into the Spring Spirit - Ceramic Painting for Families
Paint your very own ceramic Easter bunny to liven up your spring décor! This family-oriented class will allow
participants to spend some extra time with their loved ones while creating a unique piece of art. Adults will paint a
larger ceramic bunny, while children (ages 7+ accompanied by an adult) will be able to choose between a few
smaller ceramic bunnies to paint. All class supplies will be provided. These pieces make great decorations for your

Metal Petals for Your Garden
Are you looking to create a unique piece of art to add to your garden or landscape? Do you have any old or
unused silverware that are waiting for a purpose? Then this class is for you! Participants will use silverware
and other metals to make a flower that stands three to four feet tall. Participants will learn how to cut, bend,
fuse, and weld metal into their own one of a kind piece of art. Some experience with these techniques is
appreciated, but not necessary to attend.
Participants will bring 8-10 pieces of silverware of their choice (knives, forks, and/or spoons) for the project.
There are a limited number of spots in this class so early registration is recommended.

Shui is the ancient Chinese practice of furniture placement and energy flow in the home or office. Improving the

Small Engine and Recreational Vehicle Repair
This two-session class will teach participants how to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on common
small engines such as lawn mowers, snow blowers, chain saws, etc. The class will also cover other small engine
topics and will depend on the participants’ specific requests such as snowmobiles, ATV’s, boats, etc. The first
session will be informative, taking place in the classroom. The second session will be “hands on,” giving
participants a chance to bring in their own small engine to perform a basic service, repair, maintenance, etc. If
participants do not have anything that needs repair, they can use the course supplied engines.

AARP Smart Driver Course
The Voyagers Community Learning Center is hosting the “AARP Smart Driver Course”. To help ensure that
drivers age 50-plus stay safe behind the wheel, the driver safety course is designed to educate participants
about how best to reduce traffic violations, crashes, and chances for injuries. This program will also update
drivers’ knowledge about relevant laws and provide safe driving strategies to compensate for age-related
changes that affect one’s driving ability. You need not be an AARP member to take this class!
Registrations will be taken through the Voyagers Community Learning Center by phone or e-mail (not on the
registration form), and participants will receive a letter confirming their registration. Participants will pay on
arrival to the program. Checks for this program will be made payable to AARP. Please bring your AARP card

If you’ve ever begun writing your will and had to stop halfway through due to a state of utter panic and confusion,
then this class is for you. You'll have to leave your apprehension at the door because soon you will have enough

The Chippewa Falls Middle School is open for anyone who wants to walk indoors Monday thru Friday mornings
from 6:15 to 7:30 am (excluding non-school days, holidays, and snow days). Walkers must register with Adult
Community Education and will receive a pass good for March 2015 – May 2015, a CFMS hallway map with
mileage, a walking log, and a district calendar.
Participants who log a total of six or more hours walked per trimester (or two hours walked per month) will be
eligible for prizes. Please bring your completed log sheets to the Voyagers Office at 140 W. Elm Street,
Chippewa Falls, WI 54729 at the end of each trimester to claim your prize.

All Natural Make n’ Take—Medicinal Porch Garden
In this class, participants will learn about the medicinal uses of several different plants. Participants will get to
choose four different organic heirloom plants of their choice to plant in their porch garden with a customized
blended organic fertilizer made by Dr. Amy. Participants will need to bring a pot filled with potting soil to this class
big enough to fit four different plants in. The pot should be at least a 24” diameter planter—we highly recommend
a high quality potting soil. Don’t miss your chance to fill your porch with useful medicinal plants this spring!

Scrap & Stamp Extravaganza

Scrap and Stamp Extravaganza
Friday, May 15th, noon to 10pm - Saturday, May 16th, 8am to 8pm
Sunday, May 17th, 8am to 4pm
If you are a scrapbooker or stamper and need a place to get away to catch up on your scrapbooking, please
consider attending our Voyagers Scrap and Stamp event. Get some new ideas, share your creative ideas, and
have fun!
What is available if I need to borrow or buy something? A scrapbooking vendor will be on hand with
scrapbooking products and inventory available for purchase. Two 12x12 Cricuts and one Cricut Imagine will be
available for your use. If you have your own mats, we encourage you to bring your own.
What about food and drinks? We will provide the main course, Sloppy Joe’s on Friday at 6pm, Pizza on Saturday
at 4pm, and Soup on Sunday at noon. We also have a drink machine that sells coke products for $1.25. Guests
are encouraged to bring snacks to share. This may include veggies, fruits, dips, chips, pretzels and desserts.
We have a refrigerator and microwave that are available for use.
What sort of space is available? Each guest is provided a chair and a 6 to 8 foot table. If you would like to bring a
lamp for better lighting, feel free to do so.
Will there be Music? Movies? Each room is equipped with an LCD player, and there will be various chick flicks
available. If you have a chick flick you would like to share, please bring it. Sometimes people may want a break
from movies and radios are available.
Who will I sit with? To coordinate reserved seating, please indicate on the registration sheet the names of friends
you would like to be seated near. Then, remind your friends to register and indicate the same seating
preference. If you are coming alone, please indicate that and we will try to match you up with someone.
Will there be an instructor? This is not an instructional class. It is an opportunity to work on your own projects.
Although Cricuts will be provided, guests need to be able to use the machines on their own.
