INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Date and time: June 11, 2015, at 14.00 - 17.30 CET
Location: Näringslivets Hus, Storgatan 19, Stockholm.
Some call our time the period of great acceleration, as indicated by many socioeconomic and earth system trends. Many call
for action. Risks, including the possibility of catastrophic events, are significant. We are observing gross human rights
violations and growing geopolitical instability. And the socioeconomic gravity of the world is changing; by 2050 the world
population is estimated to have increased by about 2 billion people, massively urbanizing Asia and Africa, with all striving to
improve quality of life. What are the risks and opportunities for business and investors, and the appropriate strategies?
Navigo Partners and Clairfield International are pleased to invite you to this hopefully inspiring seminar,
with speakers bringing different perspectives to the subject and with participants from around the world.

manage the inevitable tradeoffs? What are the implications for education, research, and advice to
policymakers?

Bertil Villard, Nina Farrahi and David Andersson, Advokatfirman Vinge: Mitigating risks related to CSR
non-compliance. Several examples show that the consequences for companies (boards and management)
of various code-of-conduct breaches may be severe, particularly when operating in many different
jurisdictions and cultures. How do relevant market and financial risks translate into legal risks, today and in
the future? How does Vinge develop its practice and competence in this area? How responsive are clients?

seriously challenged? Is the western concept of democracy viable elsewhere and can such values and
institutions be successfully exported? Can some kind of global governance system work? If so, how?
