Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) - 2015 SET 2015 for admission to their Law programme was conducted on May 2, 2015, all over India. The paper was most conventional and expected. As per the notification on the official website, the paper had five sections of Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and General Knowledge. Many of the questions, particularly in the General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude and Reasoning Sections, are discussed in the CLATPREP Education material almost in a similar manner. Legal Reasoning There were around 10 questions in which legal principles were provided and about 15 questions from Legal Knowledge were asked. In Legal Reasoning the questions were majorly asked from Contracts (Promise, Acceptance etc.), Criminal Law (Theft, Cheating, etc.) and Torts (Negligence). The questions from Legal knowledge were mostly based on Contracts and Constitutional law (Polity). A score in the range of 22-25 could be considered good. Reading Comprehension There were approximately 5 passages in this section. The passages came from a variety of topics and the length of each was relatively small. Most of the questions were direct and could be answered easily with direct reference to the passage. Apart from that 5-6 questions were asked separately from the passage which included topics like Idioms, fill in the Blanks, Grammatical Correction etc. A good score in this section will be 22-26. General Knowledge There were around 5-7 questions from static GK and affairs. The questions covered were from almost all the difficulty of this section ranged was fairly easy and was easiest of the lot. A score of 23-27 in this section could be rest from current area. The level of considered as the considered good. Analytical Reasoning This section consisted of various question types such as series, odd one out, assertion-reasoning, statement conclusion etc. The level of difficulty of this section ranged from moderate to difficult. A score in the range of 21-24 can be considered as good score in this section. Logical Reasoning Various questions based on Statement Assumption, Statement Conclusion, Strong and Weak Arguments, drawing conclusions from given statements, Analogy, Syllogisms, Course of Action and Critical Reasoning were there. To add a flavour, this year some questions of maths were asked in this section. These questions were based on clock and calendar, Time and Work etc. The questions were of easy level and were on similar lines and patterns as in CLATPREP Material. A score of around 20-23 can be considered a good score in this section.
