Program (HOP)
Calgary Legal Guidance recognizes that
people who are homeless or at risk of
homelessness have unique legal needs. The
HOP team gives legal advice and services
along with emotional support and social
agency referrals through our lawyer and
non-lawyer advocate team. This includes
representing people who are facing
criminal charges or are being evicted.
We can also give free legal answers to
questions about:

Wills
Leases/Renting
Child Custody & Support
Common Law Relationships
Abuse/Family Violence
Human Rights
Tickets
Small Claims
And More
We provide free legal advice to people
who are homeless or are at risk of
becoming homeless at these locations:

The Mustard Seed: the second and
fourth Monday of each month:
102 – 11 Avenue SE
 The Drop in Centre: the first and
third Wednesday of each month:
1 Dermot Baldwin Way SE
 CUPS: the second Tuesday of each
month: 1001 – 10 Avenue SW
Community ID Clinics
Do you need photo identification? CLG can
help by providing you with a photo card
notarized by a lawyer. The card is accepted
by many different places but is not
government ID. This ID card is made free of
charge at two locations each month:

Calgary Legal Guidance: The second
Wednesday of each month at 4:30pm
Clinics start at 1:30pm.
and the last Friday of each month at
8:30am at 100, 840 – 7 Ave SW.

The Women’s Centre of Calgary: Open
only to women. Clinics run the third
Wednesday of each month at 5:30pm
at 39, 4 Street NE.
