WORCESTER - Police said they found 10 bags of powdered cocaine, 10 bags of heroin and another 10 bags
of crack cocaine on a man who tried to run from police after they busted an alleged drug deal.
Officers from the Worcester Police Vice Squad were conducting surveillance in the area of William and West
streets after receiving complaints of drug dealing in the neighborhood. On Tuesday, they saw a woman and
two men pacing back and forth in the area, police said.
"Officers believed that the individuals were in the process of conducting an illegal drug transaction,"
according to a Worcester Police Department press release.
When a police sergeant approached the group and announced his presence, one man tried to flee.
Eduardo Diaz, 32, of 159 Water St., Apt. 3, was arrested after police stopped him and found the drugs along
with $1,502 in cash on him.
Police also stopped the woman in the driveway, identified as Jacqueline Majeau, and arrested her on an
outstanding warrant.
Diaz was charged with a second offense of possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to distribute and
resisting arrest.
