Bring knitting needles in different sizes (including double pointed needles, crochet hooks)
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Notebook.
Students should bring unusual “linear elements” for experimental knitting that could include (but is in no
way limited to) raffia, twine, fabric strips, plastic or wire. Students should also bring a reasonable amount of
light colored, plain (not slubby) yarns in 2 colors for an ongoing sampler. If you have other materials that
you would really like to explore, make sure to bring them with you.
Prepare a 10”x10” stockinet square in a medium weight yarn to class for use later in the week.
Bring relevant books you would like to introduce to the class that may not be on the book list. For those
who are local, please bring books on the book list to class if you own them.
Bring images or examples of your current work to share in a 5-minute show and tell at some point during
the week.
