Work 4 rows in K1, P1 rib. Cast off in rib.
7 metres 40mm wide lace.
1 metre 15mm lace.
Bonnet
Cast on 116 sts. Knit 2 rows.
Next row. With right of work facing, knit wide lace.
Next row. P2tog to end.
Work same rows as given for yoke pattern on dress.
Cont in st st until work measures 4 inches ending
with WS facing.
Knit narrow lace.
Shape bonnet back.
1st row. K3, *K2tog K9, rep from * to end. Next &
every alt row, purl. Next row K3 *K2tog K8, rep from
* to end. Cont reducing in this manner until you have
completed K2tog, K1. Next row P2tog all along row.
Break off yrn & thread through remaining sts.
Velcro for back opening
Lace doesn’t have to be standard
knitting lace but does have to have
holes in it to get the knitting needle
through.
