Summer Wings Aviation Camp - June 14-19

Campers will use the MindStorms EV3 system to create and command robots that walk, talk, think and do anything you can imagine.
Camp projects include basic LEGO® part construction, pulleys, gears and motorized vehicles, as well as a take-home project.
Camp projects include creating motorized go-carts, airplanes, helicopters, cranes, tow trucks, disk speedsters and much more.
Campers will use the LEGO® Education WeDo hardware and software to think critically while creating wild animal theme models.
Academically talented students have the opportunity to “stretch themselves” in classes promoting higher levels of critical thinking and creativity.
The SIU Department of Flight and Management offers interested high school students this opportunity to experience firsthand the thrill of flight.

Campers will learn basic survival skills while considering indigenous peoples and how they lived in pre-Columbian times.
This experiential camp emphasizes learning and growth through outdoor adventure. This week of outdoor fun includes team building,
canoeing, rock climbing, high ropes course, hiking and plenty of swimming.
Southern Adventures day camp is meant for discovering Southern Illinois’ hidden gems of adventure. Campers will visit Jackson Falls,
Piney Creek Ravine, Heron Pond, Lake Kinkaid and Mermet Springs.

Campers will spend a day on Little Grassy Lake getting comfortable on the water. Then they’ll spend the rest of the week canoeing on, and camping on,
Missouri’s Eleven Point River and will visit Boze Mill Spring.

Camp Little Giant
Camp Little Giant offers summer residential and day camp opportunities for people with various abilities and disabilities. As one of the first camps of its type
in the nation, it provides each camper with a sense of appreciation, cooperation, independence, awareness and fun by offering a wide variety of activities.
