The first regional Emerging Leaders’ Dialogue in ASIA will be held from October 20 to November 1, 2016 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Participants will attend plenary sessions for two days preparing them on key issues to be focused during visits to one of the 10 proposed Dialogue locations in Malaysia, Australia, Canada, India, Indonesia, New Zealand and Singapore. The participants will then reconvene for the final two days to share, discuss and debate on what they have learned and actions planned. Diversity in leadership roles is a challenge in growing economies in Asia, changing the landscape for doing business and managing organizations, institutions, government agencies, corporations and civil societies. There is an urgent demand for next generation leaders to transform, rebrand and reskill to meet these challenges and take up opportunities in emerging economies. Leaders need to reequip themselves to prepare for senior level responsibility in all walks of employment, community and country life. ELDA 2016 will be open to emerging leaders from Commonwealth and nonCommonwealth countries in Asia and countries hosting Dialogue visits, “the world is our classroom”. The ELDA will be an interactive learning experience designed to build leadership capacity, grow networks and strengthen ties between nations and regions.
