Café Create – Opens Fridays and Saturdays 10-2pm offering yummy cakes, Fairtrade coffee, drinks and simple light lunches. We have creative activities for you to have a go! The Gallery and Craft shop area – We have gallery space that hosts exhibitions of school projects, community groups and encourages local artists to display their creations. There is a beautiful selection of local crafts and gifts available to purchase in the retail area. The Create Studios – Workshops and classes are available in our newly developed studios. Thank you. ents What a privilege to have a growing team of wonderful creators… Joy Kilpatrick Founder and Lead Artist at CreateBolton. Fine Art Ceramics and Textiles artist. Graduated from Wolverhampton in 1983. Joy has been involved in many creative art commissions and her passion is engaging with the wider community. The most recent being the collaborative art pieces created for the Restoration of the All Souls Church through the Church conservation trust. Currently joy works as a freelance artist in a range of community based environments; schools, community centres, street art and creative ways of being church. Sarah Riding attended Bolton Art College and completed her Art Foundation in 1979. Sarah went on to study for a four year degree ( BA Hons) course in Knitwear Design at Trent Polytechnic. Although Sarah spent a number of years working in the Fashion Industry both abroad and in the Uk Sarah’s real passion and talent lies in Fine Art and in particular mixed media paintings which she works on in her garden studio in Bolton. Gráinne Pendlebury graduated with a degree Textile Design (BA Hons) at Leeds University in 1982. Gráinne spent many years working for Courtaulds Textiles Furnishing Division as Export Manager and travelled extensively abroad buying designs and selling fabrics throughout the world. Since Gráinne had her family she has left the Export world. Gráinne works locally on a consultancy basis for a small UK Textile Converter and has pursued her love of painting and drawing by undertaking portrait commissions from her Bolton Studio. Jackie Noy From a small studio in Aspull, Wigan, Jackie, Creator of Hilton Farm Ceramics, produces bespoke, handmade, personalised, ceramic plaques to celebrate any special occasions. She produces a vast range of quirky items in her collection. Jackie started her career in Textiles, gaining an MSC at Huddersfield University. After having a family, ceramics became a hobby. Soon inundated with orders, Jackie founded her business, Hilton Farm Ceramics. Gerrard Maloney Having been in primary school teaching for almost 40 years and 30 years as a head teacher in Bolton, Gerry is now a freelance artist supporting CreateBolton. With his teaching background he is keen to spread his commitment to art and creative activities with people of all ages and abilities. Gerry’s range of art activities is eclectic and exciting for those who wish to develop their creative potential in the workplace, at home with other family members or as individuals. Gerry has a great passion to encourage a real Creative curriculum and see the arts as a real opportunity for children and people to develop into the creative beings they were created to be. Lauren Rosewell is a Freelance Community Artist, Teacher and Founder of ‘Purple Rose Arts and Crafts’, based near Chorley. Lauren qualified from the University of Central Lancashire with a degree in Surface Pattern with Crafts and has since completed Teacher Training in the Lifelong Learning Sector whilst working for the Charity Shaw Trust and most recently, working as the Therapeutic and Inclusive Activities Manager for Mosaic Care Group.
