Many students are involved in evening events and outdoor play after a long winter indoors. We have many activities planned throughout May to support active participation and healthy habits. Ms. Taylor has organized a wellness month to include daily healthy living tips and events throughout the month. Students in grades 2-5 can choose to run with marathon club on Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunch. This group of students will participate in a mini-marathon day with Lakewood school in June. We have purchased new playground equipment for the students to support games such as tennis, badminton and four square. Our community club kindly created 4 mini soccer fields to support smaller groups of students to play organized games. We are estimating we will break ground for our new playground development in 2016. Plans for this new play area development will be shared with the community in the fall of 2015. We thank our Parent Council for their support towards our goal. Until our new playground is complete, we will support play and physical development as best we can. “It’s a happy talent to know how to play” – Ralph Waldo Emerson Enjoy a wonderful spring, J.Moffatt Follow all the action at Crestview on Instagram: @crestviewclippers Page 2 Crestview School From the Music Room May 4th was National MUSIC MONDAY!
