You are invited Arts House Ideas Festival Did you know Cyril Jackson Senior Campus together with the Town of Bassendean and What’s the Dream Bassendean is developing a creative space on the schools Bassendean campus where artists will mentor and collaborate with students and community members in a range of arts projects? Artists and students will have the opportunity to respond to each other’s practice, creating a rich learning environment in the specially designed Arts House and on campus. Artists can also use studio and classroom space for their own personal practice and run workshops for payment. The CJ Arts House Committee would like to present the staff, students and community members with the planning and thinking to date and to invite them to express their ideas / wishes and how they might like to continue to be involved and/or contribute to this evolving community arts hub. How might you see the old Caretaker’s Cottage and surrounding environment become a new Arts House and landscaped gardens? The day will include plans, diagrams, and space for comments and feedback. Our aim is to open our new Arts House in July 2015. We would also love some volunteers on the day to help paint sections of the building to create our ‘blank canvas’. You don’t need to paint to have a say though, so either way please come and join us on the day. Where: Cyril Jackson Senior Campus, 53 Reid Street Bassendean When: Saturday, June 27, 12:30 – 3:30 There will be refreshments and snacks supplied (and we need to know how many paint rollers to buy!) so please RSVP to: Marie Molloy marie.molloy@education.wa.edu.au What’s the Dream Bassendean
