Spirit of the Rules 8.1 Finality of Decisions 8.2 Rule Changes Version 1.00; April 28 2015 Back to Table of Contents 3 Introduction and Purpose These Official Rules (“ Rules ”) Of the 2015 Autumn Oceanic Open Ladder (“ OOL ”) apply to each of the teams and their players, who are eligible to play in the Autumn OOL. The Autumn OOL seeds five teams into the Autumn Oceanic Challenger Series (“ OCS ”). Autumn OOL will consist of tournaments from Australian Cyber League (“ ACL ”), OCE Weekly (“ OCW ”), Cybergamer (“ CG ”), Challenger 5v5 Ranked Ladder (“ 5v5RL ”) and Wildcards (“ WC ”). OOL will be followed by the Oceanic Challenger Series (“ OCS ”), which is followed by the Oceanic Pro League (“ OPL ”) OCS features a total of eight teams. Five come from OOL, with the remaining three invited from the unsuccessful teams of the previous split’s OCS to OPL relegations. The top three teams of OCS will challenge three relegated teams from OPL. The three successful teams will enter OPL for the following split. These Rules are designed to ensure the integrity of the system established by the OOL for professional play of LoL and a competitive balance among the teams that play at the professional level. Player Eligibility To be eligible to compete in the Oceanic Open Ladder tournaments players must meet the following conditions: 2.1 No Riot Employees No player or substitute (“ Team Members”) can be an employee of Riot Games Inc. or have been employed in a sixth month period prior to beginning of Autumn OOL. 2.2 Oceanic Pro League Players Players must not be a starting player of any team that is participating in the current Oceanic Pro League. 2.3 Oceanic Residents Players must be a resident of an Oceanic country at the time of qualification, and must remain as one for the remainder of the split. 2.4 Player Age There are no age requirements to play in the Oceanic Open Ladder. But for Oceanic Challenger Series players must be seventeen (17) years or older by 30th of June Version 1.00; April 28 2015 Back to Table of Contents 6 3. Team Eligibility Teams are eligible for the Oceanic Challenger Series by qualifying through our partner events and the qualification process they set. The partner events, organisation and their qualification spot or seed are as follows: Australian Cyber League Qualifier (Australian Cyber League): 1 OCE Weekly Qualifier (OCE Weekly): 1 Cybergamer Ladder (Cybergamer): 1 Challenger 5v5 Ranked Ladder (Riot Games): 1 Wildcard Qualifier (OCE Weekly): 1 Once a team has qualified for OCS any Team Member that is on their roster may no longer participate in any other qualifier. Seeding for OCS is random except for WC which is eighth. 3.1 Ladder Points ACL and OCW tournaments award points to teams based on their standings of each tournament. The team with the most points at the end of their tournament receives a seed into OCS. OCW’s Announcement and Points Version 1.00; April 28 2015 Back to Table of Contents 7 3.2 Ladder System 3.2.1 Cybergamer CG’s ladder system makes you challenge teams higher up on the ladder and you take their position if you win. At the end of the ladder, the top four teams compete in a single elimination best out of three tournament held over a week. CG’s Announcement and Ladder 3.2.2 Challenger 5v5 Ranked Ladder The team with the most points by the end of June 7th on Riot Games Oceania Challenger 5v5 Ranked Ladder will receive a spot in OCS. The captain will be contacted and can only make a roster of players on the team. Any use of an OPL starting player in 5v5 Ranked Ladder matches during the Autumn OOL split will make your team ineligible to qualify for OCS. 3.3 Wildcards After all the previously listed qualifiers have finished, sixteen teams will fight for the final seed. The teams invited will have placed second to fifth place from each qualifier in order of their completion (ACL > OCW > 5v5RL > CG). If any team has qualified for OCS or has a WC seed in an earlier qualifier, their spot is given to the next team in that qualifier. For example, OCW has two ineligible teams, One from OCS and another through ACL’s WC spots. OCW’s sixth and seventh team get invited to WC. Teams are invited to a single elimination, best out of one until semifinals then best out of three tournament. The winning teams gets a seed in the OCS. Roster Rules & Roster Changes Rosters must contain a minimum of five (5) and a maximum of seven (7) players per tournament. Teams names must not contain or reference any inappropriate language. You must contact your tournament organizer if there is any issues or you wish to submit a roster change, name change or points inquiry. 4.1 Multiple Rosters Each qualifier will have a separate team roster. You are allowed to be on multiple rosters during the qualifier long as they are for a different qualifier. Once qualified for the OCS you can no longer be a part of multiple rosters. 4.2 Starting Roster The five players used for the first game of any qualifier tournament will be considered your starting roster. Any additional players used will be substitutes for the team provided your roster has not already been set. If you are a starting player for more than one roster you are only considered a starting player for the last roster and not the previous ones. 4.3 Number of Roster Swaps Teams may only change players on their roster twice during the OOL Split per tournament. You must inform your tournament organizer a day before the tournament’s starting date. 4.4 Keeping Your Points Teams which change roster may only keep points if three or more of the starting players remain on the team. Contact your tournament organizer if you want this changed to substitutes. Contact your Tournament Organizer or Riot Maraudaur immediately. 5.3 Tiebreakers Teams who have the same standing will receive the same amount of RP. Tournament & Game Rules All players will be expected to be ready to join the game lobby and start play following the start of the tournament. Readiness includes, but is not limited to, completed client patching, configuration of ingame settings, and completed runes and mastery pages. All players are also responsible for ensuring the performance of their chosen setup, including computer hardware and peripherals, internet connection, and power. A problem with player equipment is not an acceptable reason for lateness or pausing beyond a team’s allowance, regardless of the root cause of the problem. Every match will be played on the Summoners Rift map on tournament draft mode with 5v5. 6.1 Random Seeding Seeding will be randomly assigned for every tournament 6.2 Creating the match The team who is the higher seed or the team on top of bracket must create the match unless tournament codes are provided. 6.3 Choice of Side The team who is the higher seed or the team on top of bracket can choose which side they prefer. 6.4 Game Restart There will be no game restarts unless under extreme situations. Final decision on game restarts will be at the tournament organizers discretion. 6.5 Banned Champions Champions who have not been available on the live service for more than three (3) weeks are restricted from tournament play. Version 1.00; April 28 2015 Back to Table of Contents 11 6.6 Placeholders Teams cannot use placeholders for this tournament. If you lock in a champion, you must use that champion for the remainder of the game. If you both teams wish to use placeholders, A screenshot must be taken on acknowledgement and contact of the opposing team. 6.7 Pause Allowance Both teams are allowed ten minutes of pause allowance. You must unpause once you have gone past ten minutes of pause timer. Tournament Admins also have ten minutes in case they need to make a decision. 6.8 Substitution Player substitutions can be made before and after a match during a tournament. Furthermore, substitutions can be made during a match lobby, but once both teams have made a single ban in champion select, neither team can make a player substitution till the conclusion of the game. 6.9 No 4v5s Matches There will be no 4v5 matches allowed in ACL, OCW, CG or WC matches and failure to field a team of five will result in a one game loss. 6.10 Restrictions on Gameplay Elements Restrictions may be added at any time before or during a match if there are known bugs with any items, champions, skins, runes, masteries, Summoner spells, or for any other reason as determined at the discretion of tournament admins. Infraction and Penalties Upon discovery of any player committing any violations regarded as unfair play, the tournament director may issue any or all penalties, at his/her sole discretion. 7.1 Punctuality Teams get a five minute grace period to attend their scheduled match before they receive one of two penalties. If the team is less than ten (10) minutes late to the round, they receive a side selection loss or ban loss. If the team is more than ten (10) minutes late, they receive a game loss penalty. 7.2 Not Following Announcements Every player has the responsibility to follow official tournament instructions and announcements. The penalty for failing to follow announcements and instructions is a side selection loss or ban loss. 7.3 Unsportsmanlike Behaviour All player have the right to a safe and enjoyable tournament experience and a player or team should be aware if their behaviour infringes on those principles. Receiving three warnings will result in a side selection loss or ban loss and on the forth warning you will lose your game. Fifth warning will result in a loss of a series. 7.3.1 Minor Minor unsportsmanlike behaviour occurs when a player or a team does something disruptive to the tournament or its participants. Examples include but aren’t limited to: ● Excessive swearing or profanity ● Demanding the opponent receives a penalty, even after a decision has been made final. The penalty for minor unsportsmanlike behaviour is a warning. Version 1.00; April 28 2015 Back to Table of Contents 13 7.3.2 Major Major unsportsmanlike behaviour falls into three specific categories and occurs when a player or team does one of the following: ● Fails to follow official tournament instructions aimed at a player or team.. ● Directly insults someone using hate speech that targets a specific group (race, religion, gender, disability, etc.) ● Aggressive behaviour that’s not directed at another person (cursing, frustration, hostility, etc.). ● Aggressive behaviour targeting an individual (threats, personal attack, etc.) Penalty for major unsportsmanlike behaviour is a disqualification of player(‘s) or game loss. 7.3.3 Severe Severe unsportsmanlike behaviour includes cases that are too outrageous to fall under unsportsmanlike behaviour minor and major. An example of this is intentionally disrupting the operation of the tournament. 7.3.4 Collusion Collusions is conspiring or cooperating with opposing teams in a tournament in order to deceive or cheat others. Penalty for collusion is disqualification for both teams. Version 1.00; April 28 2015 Back to Table of Contents 14 7.3.5 Cheating Players have a right to receive fair and balanced treatment during our tournament. Players who knowingly do something against the rules to gain an advantage are cheating. ● Impersonating another player in the tournament, playing under false name, playing using another player’s summoner name or account sharing ● Playing with a player of another team’s roster or exceeding your roster limit of seven players and using another player. ● Trigger a pause or delay the tournament to gain any advantage. ● Exploiting or intentionally using any ingame bugs to gain an advantage. Exploiting includes, but is not limited to: ○ Glitches in buying items, ○ Glitches in neutral minion interactions, ○ Glitches in Champion ability performance The penalty for cheating is disqualification from the tournament. Spirit of the Rules 8.1 Finality of Decisions All decisions regarding the interpretation of these rules, player eligibility, scheduling, tournament format and penalties for misconduct, lie solely with assigned tournament officials, the decisions of which are final. 8.2 Rule Changes These rules may be amended, modified, or supplemented at any time in order to ensure fair play and the integrity of the tournament Version 1.00; April 28 2015 Back to Table of Contents 16
