PRIDE – Project Information and
Dissemination Event
38th International Convention MIPRO 25th - 29th of May 2015
MIPRO is a big international convention (more than 1000 participants from 30 – 40 countries)
dedicated to information and communication technology, electronics and microelectronics. Starting
from 1978, it has been held every year in Opatija/Abbazia, which is well known for its climate as well
as a tourist, cultural, artistic and conference destination. Traditionally, MIPRO International
Convention lasts for five days, from Monday to Friday, and as a rule it takes place during the last
week of May.
4th Project Information and Dissemination Event - PRIDE is a part of MIPRO and is being held at the
centre of the Convention at the Grand Hotel Adriatic. PRIDE is a supporting event that enables
dissemination of ongoing projects by a poster exhibition during the MIPRO Convention. It is formed
as a booth and a standalone poster exhibition that creates a space for project presentation, informal
discussion and an opportunity for future partnership. Along with the exhibition, PRIDE is offering a
permanent open access environment for online dissemination that will keep the project visible
permanently and therefor ensure the return on the time, effort and finance invested in the
presentation.

This Technical Information Manual is a guide to the PRIDE Exhibition at the 38th International
Convention on Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics with
particular reference to the technical services available.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION

Selection of Participants: PRIDE 2015 organizing committee will make a short list of potential
exhibitors according to availability.

Criteria for selection: The following are the criteria to be used:


Does the project/innovation address any of the main topics?

Does the innovation generate a significant knowledge transfer?
-
What kind of implications/outcome will be/is generated by the implementation of the
project?
Allocation of exhibition Space: Exhibition space will be made available at the PRIDE 2015
exhibition hall in Grand Hotel Adriatic in Opatija. Each participant will be allocated a booth or
a position for a standalone poster.
TOPICS
Topics include, but are not limited to topics covered by Conferences on the 38th International
Convention MIPRO.

The price for the standalone exhibition includes

PARTICIPATION DETAILS
MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION
All exhibitors are invited to prepare a video clip and present it at MIPRO PRIDE promotion screens
which will be positioned at PRIDE Exhibition area in Hotel Adriatic. The clip will be included in the
content of the PRIDE program which will be permanently repeated FROM 10 am till 06 pm.
POSTER (FORMAT)
Participants that are occupying a booth are obligated to bring at least three posters that represent
the project. All additional dissemination material is welcomed.
Participants that have applied for the standalone exhibition must submit one poster that represents
the project. Poster must be made according to the Poster instructions that you can find on PRIDE
website. All additional dissemination material is welcomed.

As an additional dissemination facility we offer the beautiful VILLA ANTONIO. Situated in the centre
of Opatija, villa Antonio has one major congress hall size 115 m2, two smaller classrooms designated
for workshops and meetings and a computer workshop.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT OPATIJA
Opatija has always been among the prime tourist centres in Croatia. Its main attractions are its
natural beauty and enviable century-old tourist tradition. It also her advantage being close to the
heart of Europe and easily accessible all year round as one of the nearest seaside and health resorts.
Due to a relatively constant temperature (winter average 7.0 °C, summer average 21.9 °C), high air
pressure and constant air currents, the climate of Opatija is both relaxing and refreshing. The
