Use of not suitable Inks and follower or tips will lead to undesirable results. For So called Hybrid GEL INKS and Water Based Pigmented GEL INKS, UF 941 Follower is essential to obtain the optimum writing performance. Following tips have been tested and approved for the use With SILICOWET SW Series, ASTROWET AW series and Water Based Pigmented Gel Inks. All SILICOWET SW Series inks are suitable for plastic and metal refills. In order to improve Clear Drain the application of colorless ink follower is recommended. Follower UF 941 & UF 942 is Compatible with Water Based Pigmented Gel Ink also but thorough tests should be performed in any case. For refill tubes of SW or AW series of INKS of any diameter an ink follower is necessary. For details see the follower Technical Data Sheet. , but thorough tests should be performed in any case. Even though tests showed that that there is no static leaking under laboratory conditions, this system should not be used in retractable systems until the leaking behavior has been evaluated under realistic conditions. The use of Gel pen-like stick-pens with sealing inside the cap is Recommended! Important: The combination of Silicowet SW, AW series inks with UF 941 & UF 942 with other non suitable Follower, Inks or tips will lead to undesirable results. As it is Low viscosity Ink & Follower no heating during refill production is required and for refills only modest Centrifugation is recommended. Shelf life is found to be better in SS Tips than NS tips with above mentioned Inks. As it is evolving product some tests and improvements are still going on and manufacturer of inks and Follower, reserves the right to change it without notification. Storage, Handling & Transportation Our UF 941 & UF 942 Follower generally have a shelf life of at least two years in refills made of suitable materials provided that the refills are not exposed to extremely unfavorable climate conditions. The shelf life of the Follower in originally sealed Carboys is TWO years Optimal storage temperature is between 0 and 30° C. Storage temperatures above 30° C can result in reduced shelf life of the bulk Follower. The short term temperature stress during transportation should not exceed 40° C for a maximum of several days. Horizontal storage of the refills is recommended in order to get the maximum shelf life. Due to the low viscosity of the ink and Follower the filling and modest centrifuging processes have to be adjusted. Based on our current Experience the ink and follower can be filled to refills at room temperatures, but one has to adjust the pressure, applied during the filling, very carefully. The parameters for the modest centrifuging processes have to be adjusted to values. Packaging Standard packaging: 20kg plastic carboys The information given herein is based on our current knowledge and experience. In view of the many factors that may affect Processing and application, these data do not relieve processors from the responsibility of carrying out their own tests and Experiments.
