Corporate Office. The acts of the Bank’s Chief General Manager in giving a life
threat to the General Secretary of DBOO was condemned by all in strong
words. The participants of the Dharna unanimously resolved to make the two
day strike of DBOO on 29th and 30th May 2015 and a Public Convention on
28th May a huge success.
Comradely yours,
Vijaya Anandakrishnan
President
The Bank has come out with a new discovery –
all strikes are illegal and will be met with capital punishment.
DBOO has conducted indefinite strikes in 2003 and 2004 for righteous causes only,
Constituents of AIBOC like State Bank of India Officers, Federal Bank Officers had to
strike work on many issues recently. When officers struck work for salary revision for
days together why did not the Bank’s Management make such enlightening circulars.
The top management knew that they will also be beneficiaries of salary revision that the
AIBOC and UFBU constituents clinched by foregoing our salary.
It is good to enjoy benefits without any struggle because those down the line officers
and workmen will shed sweat, lose money, by striking work but the benefit of the salary
revision will be enjoyed by all the top executives alike. So strike was legal and needed
then. So how did it suddenly turn illegal?
Yes, Comrades, strike is the last resort available to DBOO, after waiting for months
together for a reconciliatory talk. It is for a righteous cause, that is, to ensure that our
Bank can be saved from mismanagement and further damage.
