On May 27th and 28th, in Hall 8 of the Fira Montjuïc in Barcelona, be among the
first to discover the best in premium denim in the spot where the jeanswear stars
converge, connect and venture one step beyond to shape the future of denim.
Get ready for a journey through the Denim Première Vision galaxy and let yourself
be guided by the trends and creative innovations of Autumn-Winter 2016-17.
For its 16th edition – the third in Barcelona after 13 sessions in Paris - Denim Première
Vision asserts more than ever its role as leader of the international upstream jeanswear
sector. An essential meeting point and source of inspiration for denim industry players,
the salon favours one-of-a-kind opportunities to make productive connections in the
international denim community, with all its specific codes and values.
This season, Denim Première Vision – which has simplified its name and dropped the
‘by’ for the occasion – is aligning itself with premium design through a constellation of
specialties, know-how and professionals whose offers are linked by a shared passion for
denim fabric.
In keeping with its original concept and values, Denim Première Vision brings
together in one place a unique, creative and rigorously selective offer, a reflection
of the international premium denim market.
RR 97* exhibitors - Weavers (45%), manufacturers/launderers/finishers (24%),
accessory makers (21%), fibre producers and spinners (3%), technology
developers and promotional organisations (7%)… - among the most influential
in the sector, constituting the bulk of the value-chain of worldwide denim
production and manufacture;
RR 10 new exhibitor companies that have been rigorously selected (see annex
for details): 6 manufacturers/finishers/launderers – Italy (2), Turkey (1),
Morocco (1), United Arab Emirates (1) and Tunisia (1) -, 2 weavers – Italy
and Turkey -, 1 accessories manufacturer from the UK and 1 technology
developer from Spain;
RR 3 companies returning after several seasons, proving the interest and
attraction of the show : The weavers Vicunha Textil (Brazil) and Kurabo Industries
(Japan), and the Italian manufacturer/finisher/launderer Martelli ;
RR Know-how and developments from the 21 most important countries in
the jeanswear industry - Turkey (29% of exhibitors), Italy (18%), Spain (9%),
Morocco (8%) as well as Japan, India, Pakistan, Hong Kong, France, Tunisia,
Germany and Brazil;
RR 4,000 international visitors – premium and high-end fashion and jeanswear
brands; designers, and major luxury brands – looking for quality and exclusivity;
RR 1 unique gathering, rich in inspiration, meetings and events. The exhibition’s

Organised by the show for the first time as a complement to the fashion information in
the Denim Trends Area, this seminar offers a unique occasion to benefit from the Denim
Première Vision team’s expertise. Here, they will share with you the season’s key points,
its societal, artistic and aesthetic influences and also an analysis of the season’s offer, from
fabrics to finishings, including fits and accessories.
