Subject: School-Based DRR Project in Selected Schools of Maribojoc & Loon
In partnership with Save the Children Bohol Program Office in the
implementation of the School-based DRR Project in the Municipalities of Maribojoc and
Loon, the following activities will be conducted:
1. Facilitator's Training for Student Leaders - April 21 to 22, 2015
2. Children Summer Camp - April 23-25, 2015

Good Day!
As we continue to move forward in our partnership in the implementation of the School-based DRR
Project in the Municipalities of Maribojoc and Loon, Save the Children Program Office will be conducting
a series of activities for the school children this April 2015. The following activities are listed below:
1. Facilitator's Training for Student Leaders - April 21 to 22
2. Children Summer Camp - April 23 to 25
These activities aim to develop and capacitate student leaders who will serve as advocates in promoting
Disaster Risk Reduction in schools and communities to protect them from any harm cause by natural and
human made hazards. Last year, Save the Children and your office organized a core group composed of
29 students coming from different schools in covered municipalities. This group and other 21 students
who attended orientation and training on Disaster Risk Reduction already aware about DRR but it's not
enough to share their knowledge to their peers if their leadership and facilitation skills are not fully
develop. That's why Save the Children in partnership with your office will be holding such activities.
To realize this activities, we will invite 29 students to attend the Facilitators Training and 100 students
(included the 29 attended facilitators training) for the summer camp. The students to be invited will come
from Grade 4 to 5. The venue will be announce later once we finalize it.
In line with this, we would like to request you to facilitate the advisory and information of the participants
for the said activities. We would like also to further request the coordinating principals of the three
covered districts and the DRR focal person and Coordinator of the Division to assist us in the conduct of
the activity.
Attached herewith are the list of first 50 students to be invited for your information.
