Development Counts is an NBCC- Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP) and may offer NBCCapproved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements. The ACEP is solely responsible for all aspects

1. The Psychotherapy Supervisors’ Process: Integrating Relationship, Context and Theory
(6 Core Hours for Counselors, Related for LCSW’s and MFT’s)
Dates: 8/28/15 Time: 10:00am - 5:30pm
The purpose of this workshop is to support the supervisor’s ability to integrate four
vital components of supervision: the intellectual task of attending to theory, the
experiential task of applying techniques, the relational task of utilizing the self as a
tool, all while attending to the contextual climate of supervision and therapy. The
objectives include: (1) exploring the elements in the supervisory system- the client,
the supervisee and the supervisor, (2) utilizing the supervisory dimensions- theory,
method, process and self, and (3) the effective use of live supervision and/or
co-therapy with supervisees.
2. Clinical Supervision in Group Form- Dynamics, Development and Process
(6 Core Hours for Counselors, Related for LCSW’s and MFT’s)
Dates: 7/24/15 Time: 10:00am - 5:30pm
This workshop enhances the Psychotherapy Supervisors skills related to
providing clinical supervision in group format. Supervisors will enhance their
knowledge of group dynamics, group development and group process. Objectives
include: (1) defining group supervision and exploring its benefits, (2) discussing
the challenges in group supervision, (3) exploring the skill necessary for group
leaders, and (4) attending to the needs of individual supervisees within the group.
3. Evaluation and Remediation in Counselor Supervision: Addressing Deficits and Improving
Skill Sets
(6 Core Hours for Counselors, Related for LCSW’s and MFT’s)
Dates: 9/25/15 Time: 10:00 am - 5:30 pm
The purpose of this workshop is to address the vital component of supervision that
involve evaluation of supervisees counseling skills and professional
competencies, as well as addressing goal setting and skill improvement to
competencies where there are deficits. The objectives include: (1) exploring the
purpose of evaluation, (2) understanding the need for competency based
assessment, (3) identifying evaluation tools and methods, and (4) strategies for
improving skill sets and professional deficits.
4. Clinical Supervision Ethics: Gatekeeping, Liability, Cases, and Law
(6 Ethics Hours for Counselors, LCSW’s and MFT’s)
Dates: 6/26/15 Time: 10:00 am - 5:30 pm
The purpose of this workshop is to examine the essential role that clinical
supervisors play as gatekeepers to the profession of mental health. This workshop
includes an examination of ethical supervisory practice, liability issues, and laws
relevant to supervision. Objectives include: (1) providing a framework for the
ethical and effective practices of clinical supervisors, (2) addressing the key
components to minimizing liability risks as it relates to direct and vicarious liability,
and (3) exploring applicable laws and legal cases that impact the supervisory process.
5. Providing Guidance: A Counseling Supervisor’s Ethical Responsibility to Follow
GA LPC Licensing Laws

Date: 4/24/15 Time: 10:00 am - 5:30 pm
The purpose of this workshop is to increase participants’ knowledge and awareness
of the GA Composite Board’s licensing regulations for LAPC’s & LPC’s. The
objectives will include: (1) understanding licensure and supervisor eligibility at
different levels of education, (2) exploring the relationship between the NBCC & LPC
process in GA, and (3) the provision of effective guidance for supervisees regarding
the licensure process.
6. Ethical Considerations in Clinical Supervision
(6 Ethics and/or Core Hours for Counselors, Related for LCSW’s and MFT’s)
Date: 12/11/15
Time: 10:00 am - 5:30 pm
This workshop addresses ethics in the delivery of Clinical Supervision in Counseling
and Psychotherapy. The American Counseling Association’s division of Counselor
Education and Supervision’s ethical guidelines will be reviewed, and case studies in
supervision will be explored along with the latest research findings on effective
supervision. The workshop content and case examples will provide a 360 view of
various dilemmas. A small group format will be employed to maximize learning.
7. A Relational Model for Clinical Supervision: Knowledge, Power and Authority
(6 Core Hours for Counselors, Related for LCSW’s and MFT’s)
Date: 3/27/15
Time: 10:00 am - 5:30 pm
This workshop presents a psychodynamic or relational approach in the practice of
clinical supervision. It explores how supervisors and supervisees co-construct
meaning in the treatment relationship and the supervisory relationship. It also
addresses issues related to power and authority, along with parallel process as an
informative tool for clinical supervisors.
8. Structure Matters: The Tasks of Effective Clinical Supervision
(6 Core Hours for Counselors, Related for LCSW’s and MFT’s)
Date: 11/13/15
Time: 10:00 am - 5:30 pm
This workshop addresses the tasks necessary to provide intentional comprehensive
clinical supervision. The objectives include: (1) identifying a supervision model for
practice, (2) goal setting with supervisees, (3) supervisory agreement, (4) problem
solving and relationship building, and (5) evaluation methods and techniques.
Participants leave with a CD-ROM with supervision-related forms.
9. Multicultural Competencies in Counselor Supervision: Supporting the Supervisory
Process & Understanding Clinical Implications
(6 Core Hours for Counselors, Related for LCSW’s and MFT’s)
Date: 5/22/15 Time: 10:00am - 5:30pm
The purpose of this workshop is to address multicultural competencies in counselor
supervision. The objectives are: (1) defining multicultural counseling, (2) defining
multicultural supervision, (3) understanding the supervisees multicultural counseling
competence, and (4) exploring the dynamics related to cross cultural phenomenon.
10. An Overview of the 2014 American Counseling Association Code of Ethics
(5 Ethics Hours for Counselors, LCSW’s and MFT’s)
Date: 10/23/15 Time: 10:00am - 4:30pm (This workshop is 5 hrs; all of the others are 6 hrs)
The purpose of this workshop is to review the revised ACA 2014 Code of Ethics. The
objectives include: (1) comparing the previous 2005 code in comparison to 2014 (what’s
new), (2) the ethical use of technology and social media in clinical practice, and
(3) Putting it into practice- exploring sample cases and using an ethical decision making
model.
