Schaumburg Parent University presents Merengue Away – May 5

Merengue Away!
Dan Argueta
District 54 Physical Education Teacher
5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015
Come and learn how to Merengue the night away! Merengue
is the national dance and music of the Dominican Republic
and traditional Merengue music is played on an accordion,
saxophone, tambora drum, box bass and güira (a sort of metal
scraper). It is easy and fun to learn, which makes it a popular social
dance. So, if you are looking for a little exercise, movement, laughs
and fancy footwork, this is the perfect activity for you and your
kids.
