On Wednesday,
May 20, seniors will report to Dulaney’s gymnasium where the graduation rehearsal will begin
promptly at 8:00 a.m.
Attendance will be taken.
The rehearsal is expected to last until 10:30
a.m.
Attendance at rehearsal is mandatory for
those who expect to participate in the com-
mencement exercises on
May 27.
Seniors on college
waivers or who have jobs
must make arrangements
to be present at the rehearsal on May 20.
Tickets to graduation
will be distributed at rehearsal if all obligations
have been paid. Caps
and gowns and grad gala
banners will be distributed afterwards.

Tickets for Ceremony
Each graduating senior will receive six free
tickets to the commencement exercises
for family members.
They will be distributed at rehearsal on
Wednesday, May 20,
provided all obligations
have been cleared.
Every person who attends graduation must
have a ticket, including
infants and children.
A very limited number of extra tickets are
available at no extra
cost; a maximum of
four extra tickets per
family may be requested.
Parents may order
extra tickets by writing
a letter to the principal, Mrs. Whitlock. Be
sure to include the
graduate’s name.
Requests will be honored on a first-come,
first-served basis while
supplies last.
Deadline for all requests is May 15,
2015.
General Information
The commencement ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, in the
SECU Arena on Auburn Drive on the Towson University campus. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and close 15
minutes prior to the ceremony to prepare for the processional. Doors will reopen after all graduates
are seated.
Disabled guests will be able to use parking lot #21 near the entrance to the SECU Arena. Vehicles
must have a visible handicapped parking permit or license plate. Parking attendants will direct those vehicles to the proper lot. You will not be allowed to drop off guests in front of the SECU Arena.
Towson University policy prohibits balloons or anything that will restrict the view of the audience.
Please do not bring balloons, any tall decorations, food, beverage, or noisemakers. Towson University’s
security will confiscate them for the duration of the ceremony.
Individuals needing special seating may have one other individual sit with them in the special needs
section. To access special seating, notify an usher.
Proper attire for guests is required. No tank tops, cutoffs, halter tops, etc.
We are guests of Towson University, a smoke-free campus. Please follow directions provided by
Towson University personnel and our administrators.
In the event of extreme illness of the graduate on the day of commencement, parents must notify
the school at 410-887-7633 by 9:00 a.m.
Cap and Gown
Distribution
Caps and gowns will be distributed
on Wednesday, May 20 in the auditorium lobby after the mandatory rehearsal. Each graduate can pick up
his/her gown only; take the gown
home, try it on for fit, and press it.
Any problems with the caps and
gowns can be taken care of during
school hours. Just stop in the main
office and you will be directed to the
person in charge.

Photographs
During the commencement ceremony,
a professional photographer from
Lifetouch will take a picture of each
graduate receiving his or her
diploma. Family members are not
allowed to leave their seats to take
pictures during the ceremony.
A proof of the picture taken and a
price list will be mailed to the home
approximately two weeks after graduation. There is no obligation to
purchase the diploma photograph.
Graduation portrait packages range
in price from $9.95 to $39.95. Extra
information flyers will be available at
the door at the ceremony.

Obligations
All obligations, including
textbooks, library books and
fines, lab fees, art materials,
transcript fees, team uniforms/equipment, etc. must
be cleared by the end of the
school day on Friday, May 15.
Those students having outstanding obligations will be
contacted.
Tickets to the commencement ceremony
and final transcripts will
be withheld until all obligations are met.

charge for final transcripts,
but all obligations must be
satisfied before the requests will be processed.

NHS members will be
sold for $10 only to members who have submitted
forms verifying that their
service requirement has

cords at the NHS senior
breakfast, May 13, from
7:00—7:45 a.m. in the satellite cafeteria or in room
113 after May 13.
Senior Prom
The Senior Prom will be held on Friday,
May 15, 2015 at the Baltimore Marriott Water Front, 700 Aliceanna Street, Baltimore
MD 21202. Light fare and desserts will be
served throughout the evening. Continuous
music by Music Masters of Maryland will be
played from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
Students will be notified if any change of
venue or time is required due to recent
events in Baltimore City.
Students may park in the PMI garage that is
located at 720 Aliceanna Street. Parking from
5 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday will be $15. Students can valet their vehicles for $26 a car
after 5 p.m. at the hotel. www.pmiparking.net
Limousines can pull up to the hotel and
drop off students at the door.
No one will be admitted to the prom unless
his/her name was recorded when the ticket
was purchased. If a name needs to be
changed on a ticket, please see Mr. Bowmaster in room 100.
Lifetouch Photographers will
be taking portraits starting at
7:00 p.m. Order forms will be
available in homeroom and
that evening.
Students are not permitted to enter the prom
after 7:30 p.m. Once students enter the prom,
they are only permitted to leave the building to
proceed home or to the grad gala; they will not
be permitted to return to the prom.
Everyone, Dulaney seniors and guests attending the prom, must present a photo ID in order
to enter. Students holding scalped, borrowed,
or copied tickets will not be admitted.
Scholarship Recognition
Seniors are reminded that if they wish to receive
recognition in the graduation program for any scholarship or award they accept, they must bring a photocopy of the award letter to Mrs. Leyh in the main
office by May 7, 2015.
Senior Exam Schedule
High school final examinations provide students with an assessment of their understanding of the information covered in their classes. Final examinations are a requirement for each course. Seniors will take
their final examinations according to the following schedule:

Grad Gala 2015
Each spring, the Dulaney PTSA hosts a drug and alcohol free party as an alternative to potential unsafe post-prom activities. Why come? It is the last time the Class of 2015 will get together as a group for fun in a casual and inclusive setting for all seniors and their dates, even for
those who don’t attend the prom. The purpose is to party, eat, play games, and win fantastic
prizes.

Senior Awards Ceremony
Tuesday evening, May 26, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. in the school auditorium, invited seniors will
receive awards, scholarships, and recognition.
Families of honorees are welcome. Invitations will be mailed to the home. Any invited
student who cannot attend that evening must contact the guidance office at 410-887-7635.

Appropriate Dress
Students are asked to dress for the commencement ceremony in the following manner:

Girls should wear solid white or light colored dresses
under the gown since the fabric is white; dark shades
or prints will show through. Appropriate white dress
shoes or dress sandals should be worn; no flip flops or
sneakers. Due to the very long walk and steep stairs,
low heeled shoes are highly recommended.

Boys are asked to wear dark socks and shoes, a white
dress shirt, dark dress pants, and a dark tie (not bow).

Family members and invited guests must wear appropriate attire for the graduation ceremony. No tank
tops, cutoffs, halter tops, etc.

Take the Baltimore Beltway
I-695 to exit 25, Charles Street,
south. Proceed approximately
1.7 miles to West Towsontown
Boulevard.
Turn left on West Towsontown Boulevard and proceed to
Osler Drive.
Turn right on Osler Drive and
follow the signs to the SECU
Arena at Towson University, on
the right.

Parking at the
SECU Arena
Several parking lots are available to guests near the
SECU Arena at Towson University. Lots 13, 14, and 19
are designated as non-reserved parking lots; no permit is
needed. Shuttle bus service and para-transit shuttle service will be available from Lots 13 and 14. Please allow
ample time for parking and walking/travel to the arena.
The university cannot accommodate limousine parking.
Limousines or any other vehicles are not permitted to
drop guests off in front of the SECU Arena. Handicap
parking spaces are reserved in Lot 21. The vehicle must
have a handicap designation visible to the parking attendants who will direct you to the proper lot.

activities we have scheduled for seniors as they complete
the school year.
This information will give you a ready reference regarding
plans, dates, and expectations of the school with respect to
the programs scheduled.

While recognizing the importance of the graduation ceremony, it is the intent of the Board of Education to maintain
high standards of conduct for students and guests attending
the event.
Students and guests in attendance are requested to be
respectful of the formality of the occasion and refrain from
celebrations that are disruptive. In order to ensure that all
graduates’ names are clearly heard by the audience, it is
requested that applause and other forms of student recognitions be withheld until after all graduates have received
diplomas.
