Credit Unions Shine in Online Consumer Study Credit unions come out significantly ahead in satisfaction measures — by eight percentage points more than large banks and by 12 percentage points more than community banks — in a study of online consumer banking habits. Seventy-four percent of the respondents pay bills through online sources. Of those: The 2007 ForeSee Results and Forbes.com Online Banking Study of 900 consumers, including some who do and do not use online banking, compare customer satisfaction at large national banks, community banks, and credit unions. • 15% use independent bill payment services Overall, online bill payers are 7% more satisfied than consumers who bank online but do not pay bills online.
