XXth Tiraset Contest - Sant Vicent Festival“Tir
10:30 y 16:00h
i arrossegament”
This tradition, which is purely Valencian, has its origins in the transport
system. Animals such as horses or mules carried the farming products
from the fields to the market by towing the car. The “pull and tow” competition has two categories: the tiraset (tow) is the easiest one and the
horse tows a small boat made of iron with the load, similar to the ones
used in the rice fields; and the car pulling, which is in a land field.
