Our customers know that we positively encourage effective communication at all stages of the planning, design, installation and finishing process. Every aspect of the process of design is customer-led and installation is carried out only by Treske craftsmen. We warmly welcome visitors to our factory showrooms in an historic Victorian maltings building. There you can see and touch the solid hardwoods and beautiful veneers our skilled craftsmen and women use. Contemporary Shaker Kitchen 4 Oak and painted kitchen with traditionally framed Shaker doors 5 Beautiful and cool Indian pearl granite worktops are used throughout the kitchen and are fitted into the window recesses. Miele appliances, including warming drawers, coffee machine and combi-ovens, are arranged in a convenient group. Behind the induction hob and under a Miele extractor, a Silestone marble splashback has been fitted to create an easy to maintain finish. The kitchen also has a desk dresser design housing a discreet home office and workstation. Managing the installation of the kitchen involved coordinating with tiling and under floor heating installers, the removal of a old brick mantle, as well as other key trades. 01845 522770 www.treskekitchens.co.uk Contemporary Shaker Kitchen A special contemporary Treske kitchen with a careful mix of traditional oak panelled doors with those painted in a Farrow and Ball white. A stylish split-level island, one end granite topped with curved drawers below, the other higher level with a solid oak top for the family breakfast bar. Reflective plinths on the island combine practicality with a freestanding look, while the breakfast bar support doubles as tray storage. Shaker Oak & Painted Kitchen 6 Painted and oak Shaker style doors and Kashmir white granite A beautifully simple and stylish fitted kitchen, designed in a Shaker style, painted in a light Farrow and Ball cream. 7 This bespoke kitchen design is set off through the bold use of a custom designed splashback behind the Falcon range cooker. An American fridge freezer was fitted into a short run of larder wall cabinets and other appliances are integrated within the ample storage of the kitchen. Every element of this kitchen design can be tailored to you, from the shade of paint to the island design, cupboard and storage solutions and appliances. The granite work surfaces were Kashmir white with the set-in Belfast sink looking out over the garden. Shaker Painted Kitchen 8 Classically framed bespoke Shaker style doors and granite work surfaces In an old farmhouse the existing kitchen was considered too small, so to replace it, this new spacious painted kitchen was created in the converted former double garage. The main focal point was to be the superbly practical Falcon range cooker around which was built an imposing overmantle. 9 The owners much loved AGA fridge takes centre stage in a capacious larder unit, which contains easily accessible handmade racks, drawers and even a granite cold shelf. A Treske farmhouse table and comfortable stickback chairs complete the light, airy and welcoming mood of this understated but aspirational kitchen. 01845 522770 www.treskekitchens.co.uk Shaker Painted Kitchen This is a supremely practical kitchen with special granite work surfaces and upstands flowing seamlessly into the window embrasures, while its beauty lies in the attention to detail, clean crisp lines and superb finish. Arts & Crafts Painted Kitchen 10 Classically hand painted, simple and practical, with beauty in the detail In a traditional rectory Treske was asked to design, make and fit an elegant and spacious painted kitchen in an Arts and Crafts style. 11 The design and fit timescale was carefully managed with the customer to ensure work fitted with other required trades and everybody completed their work on schedule. Behind the island is the four-oven AGA, framed by a simple elegant mantle. On either side of the AGA two built-in traditional cupboards provide further practical storage for breakfast and cooking essentials. The kitchen was painted in two shades of deep grey, the darker on the island, giving a stunning finish to an exceptionally well planned, designed and fitted kitchen. 01845 522770 www.treskekitchens.co.uk Arts & Crafts Painted Kitchen The Belfast double ceramic sink is positioned to look over the garden and is adjacent to the integrated washing up machine and fridge. Behind this window run of classical cabinets is an island that doubles as a breakfast bar with plenty of accessible cupboard and pan drawer storage that also includes a Liebherr wine cooler. Traditional Oak & Painted Kitchen 12 Burr oak and painted doors, all traditionally framed 13 A large central island placed exactly below the lantern, accommodates many appliances and the Belfast sink. The lightness of the kitchen was further enhanced with a travertine floor. A flush fitting induction hob sits opposite the AGA in the island top, the flush fit allowing the working surface to be uninterrupted and usable. Around the cream, four oven AGA is a substantial bold pippy oak corbelled over mantle that incorporates bespoke storage cupboards. A preparatory sink to the right side of the AGA, and a wine rack finish the run. The positioning of the handmade bespoke mantle and island give the kitchen a focal point, balance and symmetry. Traditional Oak & Painted Kitchen This beautiful and practical kitchen was designed for a new extension sun room with a central ceiling lantern. Spacious and contemporary with a comfortable feel it also sits well with the owner’s period house. Arts & Crafts Oak Kitchen 14 Oak Arts & Crafts doors in traditionally beaded frames, walnut and Corian work surfaces Late Victorian Arts and Crafts furniture designers emphasised handmade craftsmanship, solid wood and clean, simple lines, which is very much Treske’s credo today. 15 The Arts and Crafts movement laid emphasis on aesthetically unified interiors. Our client chose a handmade table and chairs from our Yorkshire designed V&A range, first seen at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London in 2004 during the exhibition International Arts and Crafts. 01845 522770 www.treskekitchens.co.uk Arts & Crafts Oak Kitchen In this new townhouse the lines of the oak woodwork subtly reflect the Arts and Crafts aesthetic, noticeably in the slight off-vertical batter on the panels around the central pillar and the tapering corner supports. Walnut was used for the centre island and for the cornice which was scribed to the ceiling. Bespoke Corian work surfaces moulded into wall splashbacks, the 420 electric AGA, large fridge freezer and sleek steel handles are utterly contemporary yet complementary. V&A Oak Kitchen 16 Oak Arts & Crafts doors in classic beaded frames, with African black granite 17 Innovation in kitchen design is increasingly style-led. The Arts and Crafts movement which began in the 1880s and was pioneered in Britain by William Morris, had a lasting influence on design. The influence is seen in the handmade kitchen designs of Treske. Victoria & Albert Museum’s archive research provided inspiring source material for our design. The central motif of a tulip was developed from Lindsay Butterfield’s block printed linen designs while other details were influenced by designers such as Mackintosh and Voysey. Our V&A kitchen can house innovative appliances such as a Miele induction wok alongside the latest AGA oven range, combining modern and traditional cooking techniques, while African black granite surfaces provide contrast and balance to the aesthetics of the room. V&A Oak Kitchen The Treske V&A kitchen can be as individual and bespoke as you would like, be that purist or playful, in oak (as illustrated) or any of a wide range of woods, all from responsibly re-planted sources. 01845 522770 www.treskekitchens.co.uk Modern Sycamore Kitchen 18 Contemporary sycamore kitchen with walnut detail, glass splashbacks and plinth lighting A minimalist, modern look using exquisitely matched hand-selected figured sycamore veneers, the design features inset walnut stringing detail to enhance the grace of the curved doors and echo the drawer proportions in this beautifully refined kitchen. 19 Treske of Thirsk’s Yorkshire designers, craftsmen and fitters are proud that every aspect of creating this contemporary kitchen in a traditional farmhouse fulfilled the client’s highly specific brief. Its superb aesthetic and function was completed by a range of Siemens appliances. 01845 522770 www.treskekitchens.co.uk Modern Sycamore Kitchen Made to the most exacting standards for a sophisticated client, African black granite work surfaces and upstands meet a bespoke fitted glass splashback, while LED plinth lighting and overhead and wall unit lighting present the entire kitchen in a clean, efficient light.
