Quick Skive Removal Tools
Quick Skive removal tools consist of an ergonomically
designed handle that uses special engineered nonmetallic blades specifically designed for removing
materials from delicate, fragile and scratch prone
surfaces. The blade materials and angles were
originally designed for small area removal of stubborn
stealth materials and gap fillers from aircraft fuselages
and components for on- and off-aircraft repair
applications.
Quick Skive Removal Tool
The Quick Skive tools provide the best results when
used in a worker-friendly heat-skive process, which
combines a heat depositing process using a heat gun
or other heating source followed by skiving off the
heated materials with the quick skive tool.
Quick Skive tools have many applications for aviation and industry.
• Aviation: Remove specialty materials, gap fillers, and sealants from
fuselages, access panels, and fuel tanks without damaging the underlying
primer coating or the substrates. Approved for use on U.S. Air Force (USAF)

The Quick Skive Kit contains an assortment of 8 non-metallic blades and an ergonomically designed
handle with quick disconnect blade capabilities. The kit is ideal for removal of stealth materials,
sealants, and gap fillers from aircraft fuselages and components for on- and off-aircraft repair
applications. The kit includes the items listed in the table below.

Quick Skive Handle (P/N 08376A01)
The injection molded handle is made with DuPont™ Rynite® 935 thermoplastic for great durability,
and has a Neoprene® rubber padded grip. The handle works exclusively with the Quick Skive
blades and the quick-disconnect capability allows the operator to quickly change between blade
types. Designed to comfortably fit in the user’s hand, the handle reduces operator fatigue and
prevents injury to the user.

Quick Skive Blades
The Quick Skive blades consist of PEEK blades for bulk material removal and Ultem™ blades for
sealant and gap filler removal. The special blade materials and designed angles were specifically
chosen for removing difficult to remove materials from delicate, fragile and scratch prone surfaces
such as aircraft fuselages and components.

PEEK blades offer a lubricious material that will not damage substrates or delicate surfaces and
