Intent and Overview
This course will address updates in breast cancer screening, breast cancer risk
assessment and lifestyle modifications to reduce breast cancer risk. The course will
also cover updates in genetic testing for breast cancer and controversies regarding who
should be tested and which test is appropriate. Management of high risk lesions and
new developments in the systemic therapy of breast cancer will be covered. The course
also features a mini-symposium on ductal carcinoma in-situ and issues pertaining to
the evaluation and management of this early stage breast cancer.
Who Should Attend
This course is designed for physicians, nurses and other health care professionals
practicing in the areas of Primary Care, Gynecology, Radiology and General Surgery.
Continuing Education Credit
The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education
for physicians.
The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine designates this live activity for a
maximum of 6.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit
commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Other health care professionals are awarded 0.6 continuing education units (CEUs)
which are equal to 6.0 contact hours.

The conference will be held at the Herberman Conference Center at UPMC Shadyside.

Cancellation
All cancellations must be in writing and sent to us via U.S. mail, email or fax.
Tuition for cancellations postmarked or date stamped before April 17, 2015 will be
completely refunded. After April 17, 2015 a $35 administrative fee will be assessed.
No refunds will be made after April 24, 2015.
