A Letter from Our President
The Tulsa chapter of EWI is
experiencing wonderful growth right
now. Membership is doing a great
job recruiting exciting new member
firms, and mentors are stepping in to
nurture and integrate the new reps
into the chapter.
Dana Nichols
EWI of Tulsa
Every time you Just Say Yes, the
chapter grows a little more.
Let’s build on this great momentum
by inviting your mentee to either
attend committee meetings with you
as a guest or by suggesting a
committee for her to join.
Committee meetings are well
attended and an opportunity for
quality time spent with a great group
of professional women. I experience
lots of positive energy and personal
and professional growth each time I
attend a meeting.
New and existing representatives, we
encourage your ideas – let’s keep
growing!

March Meeting: Member Appreciation
Here’s What Our Members Had to Say…
“The representative from Topeca Coffee gave an impressive presentation, and I learned some
interesting things about coffee and how it is managed, roasted and prepared.”
“The program was too technical and did not promote one of our mission statements.
I would prefer programs that promote personal or professional development.”
“I liked the childhood photo challenge.”
“Loved the idea. People seemed to enjoy the presentation.
Quite a few questions were asked.”
“Traffic challenges required to get there.”
“I loved the Irish Coffee bar! It was also neat to learn about another local company.”

Sheila D. Sayne, Esq.
What does your company do and what is your function
within the company?
Neuens Mitchell Bonds, pllc, is a Tulsa-based law firm that
practices general civil law and litigation. My primary focus as an
attorney is pretrial litigation, and I work closely with the trial
attorneys in our office.
How did you get into this business?
My father was an attorney and my mother was a nurse. Both
parents enjoyed their work immensely; law and medicine were
frequently discussed at home. With my penchant for reading
and my gift for writing, it was natural that I would pursue the
career that my father loved.
What do you enjoy most about your current job?
Our firm encourages excellence, creativity, and adherence to the highest ethical
standards. It is an ideal atmosphere for personal growth and professional advancement.
Also, I enjoy our firm dynamics. We work hard, we work well together, and we enjoy a
good laugh from time to time.
What was your favorite thing about childhood?
When I was in grade school, we lived on a farm in Ada, Oklahoma. We had horses,
cattle, dogs, cats, chickens, and even a pet duck. There were sulfur springs on the
property surrounded by ancient fossils. We had an incredible view and our house was
visible, too – especially when my father put up the Christmas lights. On the Fourth of
July, we could see the fireworks in Ada and I am sure that Ada could see the Roman
candles that Dad lit, as well.
Tell us something interesting about yourself that a lot of people don’t know.
When I was in ninth grade, I briefly held my high school record for the 50-yard dash.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am an avid reader. Kindle’s one-click instant gratification has only intensified this. I am
also a movie buff and am thrilled that Warren Theatres opened a location in Broken
Arrow. Finally, I enjoy motorcycle riding with my husband, especially when we can ride
scenic countryside and end up at a good hiking trail!

Meet Eva Blair
What does your company do and what is
your function within the company?
I am the HR Director for Nichols Brothers,
Inc., a small diversified, privately owned
investment company with interests in oil and
gas production, midstream energy, business
technology services, commercial real estate,
and pump & supply retail.
How did you get into this business?
Purely by accident…I had taken a “special
early retirement” from working in the auto
industry (Ford Motor Company) and retired
again from working in the aerospace industry
(Boeing/Spirit) and eventually got coaxed out
of retirement again to learn about the oil and
gas industry.
What was your first job?
I worked as a hostess/waitress for Steak and Ale while going to TU and made some
money to pay for my sorority social functions & activities.
Who do you consider to be your role model?
My grandpa Eckert (who has since gone on to heaven). He was the kindest and most
gracious man I know, very unassuming and always ready to help anyone who needed
assistance.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
[My husband] TC and I love to travel almost every weekend and visit different relatives and
friends in different cities and states. And of course, go to some of TU’s away games and
cheer them on!

Meet Diana Medina
What does your company do and what is your
function within the company?
I am the operations manager for MaidPro, a family-owned
and operated home cleaning business.
How did you get into this business?
I began as a service provider and worked my way into
operations.
Who do you consider to be your role model?
My grandfather and my late grandmother have been my
role models. My grandfather’s work ethic and honesty
have been my foundation. My grandmother’s care, love,
patience and gentle spirit have been my guide.
Tell us something about you that not many people know.
Hmm…this is a tough one to answer. I come from very humble beginnings and my whole
life seems to be made up of small accomplishments. I could say that one of my biggest
accomplishments was going from being a service provider to being the operations manager
at the company I work for, or the day we paid off our first home, or even when we bought
rental properties around town; but my biggest and the accomplishment I am most proud of
are my daughters, to know that I have helped create amazing human beings is beyond
comprehension. The future will be such an amazing place with them in it, they are truly my
greatest accomplishment.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love spending time with my daughters and writing poetry, and reading all kinds of books is
my passion. I soon hope to add photography to my list of hobbies.
