Introduction
Welcome to the second Edition of Halesworth’s Good
Shopping Guide, produced by the retailers of
Halesworth.
Our town is a very special place to shop. There are
lots of independent, owner managed shops selling a
huge range of goods staffed by helpful, knowledgeable
people who can help you find just what you want.
Our pedestrianised Thoroughfare is the heart of the
town and a pleasure to visit. Here you will find a
variety of shops including electrical, hardware,
footwear, stationery, furniture and antiques,
delicatessen, health food store, fruit and veg as well
as an outstanding toy shop, an excellent butchers
selling local meat, a great deli, some clothes shops,
and a green grocers and bakery.
The Thoroughfare extends to the Market Place and its
surrounding areas. A weekly market is held on
Wednesday’s and you will find more shops and
businesses including an art gallery, traditional
butcher, wine shop, antique shops, pet shop, florist,
newsagent, book shop and carpet shop.
There are plenty of places to eat and drink throughout
the town, whether you are looking for a quick tea or
coffee, a light snack or a full meal. We also have a
number of takeaway food outlets, two fish and chip
shops, and three pubs.
