The Empty Bowls Project is the largest fundraiser for Helping Hands and raises more
than 50% of the annual operating budget for this non-profit organization. Without a successful Empty Bowls Project, Helping Hands simply would not be able to provide enough
food for all of its clients as well as the other helpful programs it undertakes. Though food
is generously donated by many organizations in our community, Helping Hands purchases
more than 50% of the 40,000 pounds of food it gives out throughout the year to meet the
demands. Monetary donations are vital to Helping Hands in order to fulfill their mission
and responsibilities to neighbors in our community who are in need.
Please Join us as a Sponsor
As a sponsor of Empty Bowls Project, you will be directly supporting the Helping
Hands Food Pantry and Financial Assistance Program with housing, utilities, and medical
care for those who cannot afford such basic needs. In addition, you will be assisting with its
Summer Supplement Program, which provides food for kids on summer break and its Back to
School Program, which provides school supplies for families whose parents cannot provide
them for their children. Your support will also help fund Helping Hands’ Christmas Gift
Drive so that no child in Dripping Springs has to go without Christmas.
Dripping Springs Helping Hands, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) organization so your gift is tax
deductible. In addition, Helping Hands is managed and operated 100% by an independent
group of volunteers. They need your help!
Beautiful, Original and Delicious The Empty Bowls Project in Dripping Springs is a family-fun event where the community comes together to share a wonderful meal, live music, a silent auction and most importantly, fellowship. More than 20 restaurants in the Dripping Springs and Austin area prepare
and donate dozens of soups that are each distinct and delicious.
Finding the perfect bowl each year is one of the many reasons people attend the event.
Over 1,000 beautiful and unique handmade “Empty Bowls” are graciously provided by Bill
and Bridget Hauser, owners of Sunset Canyon Pottery, who have hosted the event for the
past 16 years.
Your Gift
Thank you for becoming a sponsor of the Empty Bowls Project! Your donation increases Helping Hands’ resources to provide compassionate care for our neighbors in need.
Sincerely,
,
June and Jim Baumoel
