Exalted Rulers Message
MAY, 2015
We now find ourselves in the month of May. Winter weather is refusing to give up. Spring
and summer will soon find us. (I sure hope)
A lot of our members are busy getting ready for the warm weather. The grassy areas have
received the first of 4 treatments and the green grass we are starting to see is only a fraction
of what it will be.
Jim Martin is busy getting the tennis courts and swimming pool prepared.
Our Lodge has purchased 8 new patio table’s with umbrella’s and 4 chairs for each table.
This will be a very nice addition to the Tiki Bar/Pool area. The bathrooms are being
painted. Come on and join us with a pool/tennis membership. The rates are the best in
town.
The entertainment committee has a lot of events planned, bands, DJ’s, kid’s days, cornhole
tournaments, cookouts, etc.
The Pool opens May 23 and on Monday May 25-Memorial Day we will be having a cookout at the pool. We will be having burgers/dog’s/brat’s. There will be music.
I am asking for all of last years Elk’s member’s to rejoin our Lodge and consider joining the
pool. As an Elk’s family membership you can bring your kid’s and your grandkids all for
the low price of $250
Also I would like to encourage all of last year’s Northridge Pool/Tennis member’s to join
the Elk’s as a member. If you don’t know what the Elk’s goals are, please ask and let us
show/tell you what we are as a fraternal organization. We do a lot for the community.
Hoop Shoot, Soccer Shoot, Boy Scouts, College Scholarships, Veterans, and many more.
Have you been to a lodge meeting lately? Come and join us, we would love to see you
there.
Thanks to all,
Jim Kreiling

A new Lodge year is upon us! The new officers are in place and were installed April 11. The
Home Association wants to get input from you the members. To help you communicate what
you would like to see in the new building a new email address has been set up. PLEASE give the
Home Association your input on what you would like the new building to have by emailing the
ideas to findlayelkslodge@yahoo.com If you want to get the weekly emails of what is coming up
and what is going on in our Lodge, or you know someone who wants to get the emails, please
send me an email to jff_jenson@yahoo.com so I can add you to the email list.
A second dues notice to delinquent members was recently mailed. Please pay your dues
promptly, as dues income is the single most important source of revenue we have. The Lodge
thanks you very much for supporting the great things we do in the community. Dues are $128
for the full year and $64 for half of the Lodge year. You cannot win any money in the drawings
or technically be in the Lodge until your dues are paid. You may write a check to BPOE 75 and
mail it to PO Box 208 Findlay 45839-0208. You may drop your dues off at the Lodge. I have a
box in the lounge. You can go online to www.findlayelks.org and pay your dues ONLINE! Of
course cash is good as always.
Don’t forget to buy your Ohio Elks Association (OEA) calendars in the lounge. The cost is $20
and the Lodge keeps $5 and the other $15 goes to the OEA. Some of the money will help pay for
youth scholarships, scouting projects and many other very worthwhile charities. The best part is
that you can with from $50 to $500. The calendars will have a four digit number on them. This
will be tied to the Ohio Lottery’s pick 4 game which is done twice daily. If your number is
drawn, you win. You don’t have to keep track of anything because the money is automatically
sent to your house. It’s a great way to benevolent and you have 730 chances to win. Findlay
Lodge 75 has had TWO WINNERS already this year! They make GREAT presents for friends
or family.
During the meeting of April 9th, the applications of Brent Beggs (proposed by Tom Fitzpatrick)
and Brian Snyder (proposed by John Snyder) were read. Jim McMaster supported the
reinstatement of Allan Robert Cramer. During the meeting of April 23rd, the application of Jeff
Schimmoeller was read. He was proposed by Donald McCartney. The incoming transfer of Brad
Wisener from Van Wert Lodge #1197 was also read. Bill Spraw supported the reinstatement of
Bryan Cavins in our Lodge. The Lodge approved the membership of Brent Beggs and Brian
Snyder as new members of our Lodge. The Lodge also approved the reinstatement of Allen
Robert Cramer to our Lodge. Ask someone to be an Elk. Being an Elk has made a positive
contribution to your life. Now it is time to pay it forward and help out someone else improve
their life by becoming an Elk.
It pays to come to Lodge! On March 12thth Gordy Mills was a loser of $100 because he was not
at Lodge. A second drawing for $35 found Bill Trew a loser because he was not in Lodge. On
April 23rd Kevin Richardson was a WINNER of $100 because he was at Lodge. A second
drawing for $40 found John Whitson a loser because he was not in Lodge Come to Lodge so you
can win. The meetings in May are on the 14th and the 28th. There will be an initiation on the
28th.
See you at the Lodge
