Learn to make a wearable dichroic image pendant. In this class
students will learn how to properly encase dichroic image
glass chips. Different loops will be discussed as well as a turtle
style pendant demonstration. Some lampworking skills required.
Ashtrays

In this class you will learn to make colorful wigwag ashtrays
using borosilicate glass. Colored tube pull preparation, and
proper wig wag reversal techniques will be the content of this
fast paced class. Then hands on! Create your own wig wag
ashtray to use at your next relaxing smoke break! Not only
are they beautiful but functional as well. Beginner glass blowing experience necessary.
Hot Spot - Water Bubbles

Come join the fun in this beginner glass blowing class. Using
colored borosilicate glass tubes, learn to blow glass into round
shapes. This foundation class will cover the basics, in order to
blow your first glass bubble. How to pull a basic point from
tubing will be demonstrated. Pre-made glass points of various
colors will be provided. Take home your class project to use
for watering your thirsty plants. No experience necessary. All
beginners welcome.

It’s that time of year when summer colored leaves are everywhere. Learn to make bright, happy green and yellow leaves
using so2 glass. No skills required. Beginners welcome!
Hot Spot - Spring Sprouts
May 28 Thu 6-8pm Fee: $60.00
Spring time is here! Learn to make fresh spring sprouts using
so2 glass. You will learn to make separate component pieces,
then assemble them into a small sculptural piece. Flattening,
pulling ribbon leaves and twisted squiggly shapes are included.
No need to water. Beginner lampworking skills required.

In this fun filled class we will explore the borosilicate color

encase boro colors for beautiful explosions of color in your

Hot Spot - Intro to Canes

Learn to make an exquisite clear glass Kyoto flowering branch, using borosilicate clear. First construct component pieces
of petals, leaves and a pulled out elegant style branch. Then
a step by step assembly of your beautiful floral art piece with
an asian flare. Class includes demonstration as well as hands
on practice. Some lampworking skills required.

Learn to make simple so2 glass murinni canes. Students will
learn how to shape, heat and pull canes with different colors
striped on. Instruction also includes using an optic mold and
stump shaper paddle. Glass cane can be used in a myriad
sort of ways from applying it to beads marbles, pendants
and buttons, or to fusing it to plates and jewelry. Some
lampworking skills required.

In this two hour mini class, we will focus on sculpting a lady
bug using so2 glass. Dot application as well as using wire will
be shown. Some lampworking skills required.

Spring Flowers

Learn to create a beautiful glass blown flower bouquet, in this
fun filled class. You will learn hollow and solid sculptural
techniques using borosilicate glass. Three flower techniques,
as well as creating stems and leaves are covered. Prepping
color and using tools such as, shears, reamers, razor blade,
knife, punty and leaf press are also covered. Demo with lecture to start, then followed by hands on practice time. Each
student will have a fully consturcted flower bouquet. Lampworking skills required.
Introduction to Glass Bead Making
July 29 Wed 6-8pm Fee: $60.00
Learn the very basics in how to make glass beads using a surface mix torch. Round beads and dot beads are covered in the
fast fun paced class. No experience required. Beginners Welcome!
Hot Spot - Zebra and Tiger Beads

Learn to make wild animal print beads such as zebra and tiger
using so2 glass. Beginner lampworking skills required.
Loren Stump - Under The Sea

FlameTree Glass,Inc. is a three in one business. We sell glass art from beautiful handmade glass beads, pendants, blown glass to
sculptures and jewelry. We sell glassblowing
supplies such as glass rod and tubing, tools,
torches, books and videos. We also have a
state of the art glass blowing facility, offering
workshops from beginner to advanced skill
levels.
Workshops
Must be at least 18 years of age to attend lampwork classes at FlameTree Glass, Inc. No one under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be allowed to attend class. All glass, tools, kilns,
torches and eyewear are included in the price of
the workshops unless specified. Please be sure to
read over our cancellation policies and procedures before you sign up. We look forward to
seeing you then!
Workshop Cancellation Policy
If it becomes necessary for FlameTree Glass
to cancel a workshop for any reason, a full
refund will be given or store credit, which
includes classes or merchandise. All withdrawals from workshops must be in writing,
faxed or emailed. A refund or store credit will
be offered if notice of withdrawal is given 30
days prior to commencement of workshop.
A $25.00 withdrawal fee will apply. There
will be 50% refund given to withdrawals
with less than a 30 days notice, due to our
financial obligations to our instructors. All
cancellations will be refunded as checks. If it
becomes necessary for FlameTree Glass to
post- pone a workshop due to inclement
weather or other reasons deemed legitimate,
you will be notified of the rescheduling or if
unable to attend a full refund will be given.
We are not responsible for non-refundable
tickets including transportation and lodging
or any other expenses in the event of a cancelled or rescheduled workshop.
Payment of workshop in full is required to
hold your space.
