However these precious insects are under threat. The good news is that we can do something about it with a few simple management changes, and if you are currently considering your options for future stewardship agreements on your farm, including measures for wild pollinators and wildlife could help your application. Speakers include: Marek Nowakowski (farm & wildlife specialist) - successful establishment and management of pollen and nectar seed mixes on farm Gavin Thomas (RSPB) - the importance of providing habitat for farmland birds Michelle Fare (CFE) - management of farm hedgerows as a habitat for birds and pollinators Sarah Robinson (Bowland AONB) - Networks 4 Nectar project The afternoon session will comprise a farm walk looking at a newly established seed mix along with practical discussions.
