Both juvenile suspects in the May 8’s Evergreen home invasion robbery will be tried as adults. The DA’s Office cannot disclose if these suspects had prior convictions. Based on similar cases in the past, the District Attorney’s Office will likely recommend a 3 year sentence but each suspect will likely receive only about 1 year in county jail in a likely plea
likely recommend a 3‐year sentence, but each suspect will likely receive only about 1 year in county jail in a likely plea bargain with the prosecutor. This is a slap on the wrist for their violent armed robbery.
We need to send a serious message to criminals who commit crimes in Evergreen and San Jose:
Enough is enough! We are fed up with crimes being committed in our neighborhoods!
With a stiff prison sentence, it prevents violent offenders from harming children, women, and other
residents in our community while they’re incarcerated. Also, it makes other criminals think twice about committing crimes in our neighborhoods. We need to speak up to seek justice for the 3 victims and also for our own safety. W

If we wait until one of us is murdered by violent criminals, it may be too late by then.
This home invasion was very serious, and it was reported on Good Morning America.
The prosecutor for this case will be Deputy DA Madeline Seiff. Initially, this prosecutor will likely recommend a 3
3‐year prison sentence for this offense. However, if there’s a public outcry of injustice for the victims including a baby i
