Every other month, the Neighborhood Captains pick up the food from their food donors and leave them a new bag. AGAPE is currently looking for volunteers to join the program as Neighborhood Captains, Food Donors and Receiving Team Volunteers. April: Travel Sized Tissue Members of Council have committed to increasing their financial giving as a show of their faithful discipleship and dedication toward Jesus Christ and the ministries of Friedens. We ask you to follow our example. Why Giving Matters: We give because God gave first. (1 John 3:16-18) God wants us to give because it shows that we recognize He is the Lord of our lives. (James 1:17) We are blessed when we give. (Acts 20:35) When we give freely to God, we receive freely from God. (Luke 6:38) Open hearts, eyes, and ears feel, see, and hear God better. The picture of our financial giving reveals a reflection of our lives surrendered to God. (Romans 12:1) How Much Should We Give? Believers should give according to their income. (1 Corinthians 16:2) The value of our offering is not determined by how much we give, but how cheerfully we give. (Mark 12:41-44; 1 Corinthians 9:7) In What Way Are Our Financial Gifts Used? Gifts support ministries (Christian Education, Worship, Evangelism and Missions) that benefit all church members and the community (Benevolences: OCWM, Agape, Emmaus, etc.) for which God has called us to serve. Gifts offset the recurring expenses associated with insurance, property, utilities, salaries, and printing. We Want To Help You Honor Your Commitment If you need a little reminder each week, then please consider using envelopes for your giving. Envelope packets for the entire year are available in the church office. Friedens also has an electronic giving option. Go to our website: http://friedensuccwarrenton.com/ Find the button on the front page and follow the instructions for setting up an account and then determine your giving. You can also sign up for electronic giving in the office.
