TRANSFORMED
HOW GOD CHANGES US
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed….”
Here we are at the end of 50 Days of Transformation. I have been so
pleased to have such a strong participation with about 200 people in 20
groups sharing in this study. In addition to adults, our kids and youth have
been following their own age appropriate curriculum of Transformed. But
this now leaves us with the question of why did we do this? And what
comes next?
Why have we gone to all the effort to organize and commit ourselves to
a 50 day campaign?

1. We are committing ourselves to the development of small groups as a major means of
connecting people to each other in the church and to growing as Christians.
2. Having a whole church campaign motivated the start of new groups.
3. Having a whole church campaign motivated new people to get involved in a small group.
4. Sharing in a common pursuit has a unifying effect on us as a congregation.
What comes next?
Ø Make a plan to continue meeting as a group on a regular basis, at least twice a month
Ø Choose a curriculum or Bible study to share or you could or use the sermon notes for the next
preaching series to stimulate discussion.
Ø Review the goals you set for each of the areas of Transformed and keep track of your
progress.
Ø We will continue to revisit the seven areas of Transformed throughout the year to continue to
stir our hearts to continued hunger for transformation in the power of Christ.
Ø Begin a new small group and lead them in Transformed.

• SET GOALS TO PURSUE
• ACHIEVE THEM IN THE
POWER OF CHRIST
Over 50’s
The Over 50’s will meet on
April 9 at 11:30 in the church
fellowship hall for a tureen
luncheon.

Women’s Discipleship
Book Club
As disciples of Jesus we are
instructed to be learners, and
reading good Christian books is
a great way to learn. Easier said
than done, right? Sometimes
we allow other activities to steal
away our reading tme. We never
get the chance to develop a habit
of regular reading. Therefore, a
12 month book club for women
is being formed. Briefly, the club
will select 12 different books (one
copy of each) and members will
have the opportunity to read a
book each month. Books will be
passed between group members
every month so that at the end of
the year every member will have
had the opportunity to read all 12
books. To help group members
understand and apply what they
have read, the club will also meet
four times during the year for
discussion, sharing of ideas and
encouragement.
More details will be available in
May including the book list, the
cost and how to sign up. This
group is open to all women and
there are no membership limits.
The structure of the group can
be adapted to fit any number of
women.

Dear Galloway friends,
A note to say how blessed I am to be a part
of the fellowship. Thanks for all the prayers,
cards, and phone calls. Many prayers are
given for you all as well. Praise The Lord we
have a God who hears them all!
Please include my e-mail in case someone wants to say hello without the
time of finding paper or cards, a stamp and the address. Most of us are on
the electronics often - maybe too often: wwkk@verizon .net
Gratefully,
