JULIE BROOK - Made, unmade
Julie Brook is a British artist who for twenty
and more years has roamed, lived and
sculpted in a succession of uninhabited and
!
remote landscapes in Scotland and further
afield. More recently she has been working
in the deserts of Libya and North West
Namibia. Made, unmade is an exquisite
filmic account of the work she has created,
alongside drawings & photographic works.
The Art Maze
Would you like to explore a maze where
every wall and dead end is a different art
work?
Art Playground have built a full size maze of
art in an empty shop in Cheltenham- turning
a disused unit into a beautiful, creative
community space.
Watch out for pop up activities in the maze,
- Easter egg hunt on Easter Monday, 6
April. Solve the clues for a chocolate-y
prize. (not just for kids!)
- knit-a-long sessions

The Cable Girls for beginners and
enthusiasts to create squares for a blanket
to be donated to a homelessness project

Art for Carers 2015
An exhibition of over 50 pieces of work by
carers and local and national artists.
The exhibition will include work from
Zandra Rhodes, the photographer Rankin,
Gloucester Rugby’s Shane Monahan
and Mila Furstova, known for her work for
Coldplay. Along with Charlie Calder Potts,
Seren Bell, Pamela Kay and Julie De
bastion from the Fosse Gallery, as well as
exhibits from a number of local carers.

The Cotswolds Art and Antique Dealers’
Fair at Blenheim Palace
Local artist PJ Crook MBE, patron for the
exhibition, is also one of the judges for an
art competition with local schools to run
alongside the exhibition. Children from local
schools have been creating imaginative
artwork that explores the theme of
‘shoes’, to tie with our annual fundraising
event ‘Walk a mile in my shoes’, which will
take part in Pittville Park and Pump
Rooms on the 7th June. The winning
submissions will be framed and form part of
the Art for Carers Exhibition in the Cloisters.
This is a great day out, entry to the fair is by
complimentary invitation available from the
CADA website www.thecada.org, which
admits 2 people to the fair and the Palace
grounds.
