WHEELCHAIR RUGBY YOUTH PROGRAMME MANAGER
GBWR are looking for an exceptional individual to lead the new and exciting BT National Youth
Programme. The BT Youth Programme Manager will manage the BT National Youth Programme and
work with key partners to deliver targeted initiatives across the country. The successful individual
will be accountable for increasing youth participation and developing the inaugural set of wheelchair
rugby youth teams.
The BT Youth Programme Manager will develop a strong model for satellite clubs and will deliver the
first ever youth competition which is to be held at the Copper Box Arena as part of the BT World
Wheelchair Rugby Challenge 2015 (BT WWRC15).
Huge demand from young people has already been recognised and it is crucial that a co-ordinated
approach to developing youth participation across the country is developed. The BT Youth
Programme Manager will be accountable for ensuring that high quality activity pathways are
developed for sustained participation and that there is ongoing strategic alignment with the GBWR
plan.
The successful candidate will be expected to coach, develop appropriate classification strategies
across ages and disabilities whilst working with partners across the country to maximise programme
