The South African Geomatics Institute (SAGI), Institute of Mine
Surveyors of Southern Africa (IMSSA), Geo-Information Society of
South Africa (GISSA) and EE Publishers have partnered to host the
country’s leading conference and exhibition covering surveying,
geospatial information, GIS, mapping, remote sensing and locationbased business.
The venue for the GI 2015 conference and exhibition is Emperors
Palace, Kempton Park, Gauteng, South Africa. This venue offers a

GI 2015 provides an opportunity for the surveying, geomatics and
various associated sectors, such as GIS, mapping, remote sensing and
location-based business, to present solutions for the pressing needs of

There will be a significant emphasis on education and training, skills
upgrading, knowledge transfer and continuing professional development
(CPD), and three streams of hands-on, computer-based training and
knowledge transfer workshops will be held over two days. Attend and

Arrangements have been made for organisers, delegates
and exhibitors at the GI 2015 conference and exhibition to
receive preferential accommodation rates for the nights of
10, 11, 12 and/or 13 Aug 2015. These special rates include
breakfast and provide a discount off the standard
