The 51-year-old Deputy Commissioner served in key governmental roles impacting the field of Public Works. He is credited with improving the City of Atlanta's Solid Waste Services, making its fleet more sustainable and introducing 96-gallon recycling carts in an effort to reduce Atlanta's carbon footprint. He was known nationwide for his overall contributions to Public Policy, Solid Waste Management, and Public Works.
