an extraordinary evening of gourmet food and drink with exciting
entertainment, spirited live and silent auctions and many surprises for our
guests including a virtual journey to the Future Gibsons Public Market.

Gibsons Public Market
Our goal is to foster, promote and preserve
agricultural sustainability along the Sunshine
Coast, recognize our coastal marine bounty,
engage the community in supporting a
social collection point for all things related to
water, food and art, and help build a stronger
and more sustainable community for us all
to enjoy. The Market will become a social
and cultural hub on the Coast that will also
help foster economic development through
community engagement and partnership
with government, business and citizens.
FRoM DREAM To REALiTY
The Gibsons Public Market will be our coastal community hub where residents
and visitors to the Sunshine Coast can enjoy food, fresh produce, art, music and
entertainment. It will offer community activities, educational forums, a restaurant/
bakery, a Community Kitchen, Marine Education Centre and an artist-in-residence.
Our objective is to establish a destination for locals and tourists to frequent which
will support an economically viable enterprise.
WHY A GALA EVEnT?
December 17, 2013 Gibsons Public Market became a registered
non-profit society. In the early part of 2014 a Board of Directors
was established to govern the operation of the Market. A
decision was made to open the modestly renovated
building to the public during the transition period
April-June 2015
- not only offering the Coast a venue for rentals
