Dear Parents
The last leg of our first term for the year is upon us. We
have all been kept so busy that we hardly noticed it as
time flew past us.
Herewith some notices and snippets of news for you.
UPCOMING EVENTS
We remind you that the following events are lined up
before the end of the term:

FORM ONE INTAKE FOR 2016
All parents whose children are in
Grade seven this year, and would like
to do their secondary education at
Goldridge College, are advised to fill in
application forms before the end of
this term. The CHISZ Entrance
Examinations will be held in the
second term.
Interschool Athletics Competitions at Kyle College on
21 March 2015.

Interschools Athletics Competitions at Lomagundi
College on 28 March 2015.

Interhouse Debate Competitions – Tuesday, 31
March 2015, 10.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
We invite parents to attend and support the children.
FORM FOUR AND UPPER SIXTH CONSULTATION
There will be consultation for our examination writing
classes for 2015 i.e Forms four and six on Wednesday, 1
April 2015, from 10.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. All
respective parents are expected to attend.
SPORTS
Interhouse Athletics Competitions
The Interhouse Athletics Competitions were held on Saturday, 6 March 2015.
We congratulate Mupani House (Green) for winning the competitions. What
a wonderful turnout we had of parents and friends of Goldridge College. We
sincerely thank all those who attended for the support. If this support for
children and the college continue, then we would indeed have one of the
best schools in the country.
Cricket
We congratulate the following pupils who made it into the Midlands team:
 Tyrone Sayi Under 14
 Brandon Banda Under 16
 Tinotenda Wingwiri Under 18
 Takudzwa Marufu Under 19
ALLIED ARTS MUSIC COMPETITIONS
Our school choir, music groups and soloists that took part in the Allied Arts Music Competitions held at Midlands
Christian College made us proud.
The following had an excellent performance and were awarded honours:

The Africa Accapella Accompanied Harmony Group made up of (Vimbai Kasonde, Ruvarashe Sithole,
Alvina Makurumidze, Nonhlanhla Nyoni, Hillary Makurumidze, Claud Kunaka, Thandolwenkosi Moyo,
Ian Nzira and Kuzivaishe Mlilwana)

Drum Solo by Fountain By – Faith Vezha
We also had good performances by the following who achieved first class:

The School Choir – African Gospel.

Vimbai Kasonde – African Gospel.

Vocal ensemble African Solo Accapella Delight Group made up of ( Vimbai Kasonde, Ruvarashe Sithole and
Alvina Makurumidze )
Rukudzo Mapara achieved a second class in the Vocal Solo African Gospel category.
Congratulations, Amhlope, Makorokoto !!! to all participants.
SCHOOL CLOSURE
The school closes on Wednesday, 1 April 2015 at 10.15 a.m. We appeal to parents to pick up their children in
time. Reports and school fees invoices will be issued to all the pupils on the closing day.
Wish you an enjoyable weekend with your children. For any suggestions or queries, please feel free to make
