A brief on the meeting with U.S. vice Consulate to India 28th April 2015 A networking event with Mr. Michael Oskin, U .S. Vice Consulate was organized by USIIC on 28th April 2015 (Tuesday) at S.P. Stadium, Ahmedabad. U.S. India importers’ council (USIIC) acts as an intermediary organization to facilitate partnership and trade between India and American businesses ,thus acting as a catalyst in promoting economic growth between the United states and India. PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: Discussion on U.S. and Indian business environment Discussion on the travel preparations for business /education tour to U.S. Discussion on the U.S. visa process Presentation on benefit of U.S. As a destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences &Events). From the Centre for Global Business Studies, Gujarat Technological University Dr. Kaushal Bhatt, Mr. Keyur Darji, Dr. Jyoti Srivastava and Hiren Thaker attended the event. During the event, we got an opportunity to discuss about the University programs with Honorable Michael Oskin, U.S. Vice Consul. We have shared the information about Indo-Canadian Study Centre, Indo German study center, International Experience Program (IEP) and PhD program of GTU. Regarding visa procedure for IEP, after the discussion with CGBS team, Mr. Oskin assured to provide support in all possible ways from the Consulate General office, Mumbai. We shared our printed newsletters with him. At this occasion, Mr. Michael Oskin suggested us to visit some educational websites of U.S on regular basis to get current information about U.S. academic system.
