AndroidTM Users
Guardzilla has three ways to add a camera in the app. Scroll to the section that meets your needs.
Are you…
1. Section A assists with adding a newly purchased camera for configuration to your home Wi-Fi.
2. Section B assists with adding a camera that has previously been configured to your home Wi-Fi
3. Section C assists with adding a camera while away from your home (ie: family member from
another state gaining access to your camera)
SECTION A: Adding a newly purchased camera that needs to be configured to your home Wi-Fi
Camera preparation
1) Unpack your additional Guardzilla and plug in the power
2) When the light on the front of your additional Guardzilla starts to blink green
a. Go to your smart phone’s Wi-Fi Settings
b. Join the Guardzilla Wi-Fi network
i. SSID is Guardzilla-XXXX
ii. XXXX represents the last four characters of your Guardzilla’s MAC address
Launch the app
Note: Status bar will show “Locating Camera” because your
phone is connected locally to your new camera
Press the camera list icon in upper right

If you haven’t already done so, it is time to temporarily
connect your smart phone to the GUARDZILLA Wi-Fi
network.
Guardzilla uses this network to pass the configuration
information you enter in the following screens to the device.
When your configuration is complete, then your Guardzilla
and your phone will return to your home Wi-Fi
Note: When you connect to your Guardzilla’s Wi-Fi, verify
you see the word “CONNECT” to ensure proper connection
Press CONFIRM when you have connected your phone to
the Guardzilla Wi-Fi
The app will automatically find your Guardzilla and display
its unique 20 character identifier device name.
Create a name for your Guardzilla
Press NEXT

Select your home Wi-Fi
Note: If you have a dual band router, Guardzilla is designed
to work with the 2.4GHz (low) band.
If your home Wi-Fi is secured, enter your wireless password.
Note: Wi-Fi passwords are case sensitive
If your home Wi-Fi is not secured, you are ready to proceed.

Go to SETTING / MORE SETTINGS
Press CHANGE PASSCODE
Enter a NEW PASSCODE
and CONFIRM PASSCODE
Press SAVE PASSCODE

Enter a name for your Guardzilla
Enter the camera’s password
Note: you may need to obtain this from the person who
setup the camera by having them open the app, go to the
camera list, press the camera and select EDIT. The next
screen will show the camera password.

Open a browser window and go to my.guardzilla.com
Log in with your Guardzilla account
Use FORGOT PASSWORD if you do not recall your password
Copy the 20 character camera ID for use in a later step
