Title of P osition Well Made Coordinator Type of Appoin tm en t Salary Full time, 38 hours per week, 12 Month contract with an option to extend Commencement Date Monday 18 May 2015 $55,000 - $60,000 plus 9.5% Superannuation Respon sible to Executive Director About Well Made The focus of the current Guildhouse website is on our members, the services we provide and our unique collaborative projects. The Well Made marketing program will target the broader general public, local government and commercial audiences both nationally and internationally. As a marketing and potential sales platform, Well Made is designed to promote Guildhouse members and provide an ongoing and dynamic marketing pathway for South Australian artists and their work, which is essential in today’s information rich environment. As a marketing platform for South Australian artists, Well Made will also increase the capacity and effectiveness of the Guildhouse Referral Program, an existing yet under realised commissioning program that targets individual collectors, education, curators, commissioning agencies, the building industry, the corporate gift market, and local and state governments. With an enhanced capacity to manage the program and greater promotion through the Well Made platform, Guildhouse aims to increase sales for artists as well as the commissioning and production of unique, handmade objects and services to a new online clientele. 2. 3. Broad sum m a ry of th e position , a n d its respon sibilities/duties. The Well Made Coordinator is responsible for managing the effective development, production and delivery of Well Made, a new marketing and promotional platform by Guildhouse that promotes the excellence of visual art, craft and design in South Australia. The person will develop the website design brief in consultation with Guildhouse staff and marketing consultant, coordinate the development of the website, mobile applications, printed materials, generate content and solicit participants and advertisers for Well Made as well as maintain the website and printed platforms. This position will suit a motivated and well-organised person with a keen interest in and excellent understanding of the visual art, craft and design sector in South Australia. 4. 5. Reportin g a n d Workin g Rela tion sh ips The Well Made coordinator reports to the Guildhouse Executive Director and liaises with the Marketing consultant, Curator, Executive Assistant, Programs Manager, Program Officer and Membership Manager, Finance Manager, project staff, volunteers and Guildhouse Members. The person will: • • • Have a high level of autonomy in managing and prioritising their work schedule Work collaboratively with Guildhouse staff and other project persons Liaise with project partners, sponsors and creative professionals Special Con dition s Varying hours of work and intra/interstate travel may be required in the general delivery of Well Made. Experien ce Essen tial • Demonstrated marketing and promotion experience, (preferably in the visual arts) • Demonstrated experience working with creative professionals • Experience using social media as a promotional tool • Demonstrated experience writing and distributing media releases and arranging interview with media • Experience in developing relationships with media networks • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Strong proof reading skills and attention to detail • Sound time management skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines • Ability to work efficiently both independently and cooperatively as part of a small team • Ability to work on Apple computers • Understanding of sponsorship and philanthropy 2. Kn owledge Essen tial • Excellent knowledge of contemporary South Australian visual arts, craft and design • Sound knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram • Sound knowledge of WordPress or other website content management system • Sound knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator • Sound knowledge of Marketing and branding • Experience using MailChimp, Campaign Monitor, Survey Monkey and Eventbrite • Understanding a commitment to the principles and practices of Occupational Health and Safety and Equal Opportunity D esirable • A degree or diploma in marketing and communications or related industry experience 3. Non-achievement of the position’s responsibilities and duties or failure to meet Key Performance Indicators will result in a review of the position.
