Convention Highlights
This year’s convention is hosted by the Oahu Chapter of HAPA. It offers one and a
half days of informative seminars, and the opportunity to meet and unwind with other
members of HAPA from throughout the State at various social events. There will be a
hospitality suite with refreshments available for informal gatherings, compliments of
the Oahu Chapter of HAPA. Plan to attend now, and bring your family along to enjoy
the social events and warm fellowship.
Seminars
Seminars will be held all day on Friday and half a day on Saturday, June 12 and 13,
2015. Technical sessions provide substantive continuing professional education, and
qualify for 12 CPE credits for CPAs. Seminars, Morning Breakfasts, Friday Lunch,
and Friday Night Banquet are included with registration fees.

Registration Rules
REGISTRATION FEES: Registration fees include seminars, lunches, and convention banquet. Early registration forms
and payments must be received by May 5, 2015. Late registration fees will apply for all registration forms and payments
received after this date. HAPA member fees are available ONLY to active, fully paid-up members. Non-member registration
fees will apply to delinquent members (unpaid member dues). Slot tournament fees are not included. All convention
participants, HAPA members, spouses, and guests are invited to sign up for the slot tournament.
SPECIAL CONVENTION REGISTRATION FEE REBATES: In order to encourage attendance by HAPA members, the various
Island chapters are offering special registration fee rebates to HAPA members only. For information on rebates and rules for
obtaining rebates, contact the following chapter presidents: Maui chapter – Colleen Takamura, phone (808) 242-4600
ext 5; Oahu chapter – Eric Matsuda, phone (808) 949-7651; Big Island chapter - Jeffrey Girdner, phone (808) 747-8471;
and Kauai chapter - Tim Albao, phone (808) 652-7571.
CANCELLATIONS: Cancellation notification received prior to May 22th will be refunded 100% and cancellations prior to May
31, 2015 will be refunded 75%. The refund percentages apply to fees for registration and all other events. Any cancellation
received after May 31, 2015 will not qualify for any refund of the registration fee and extra event tickets.
HOTEL, TRAVEL AND LOCAL TRANSPORTATION: Each participant is responsible for his/her own hotel, travel, and ground
transportation arrangements and costs.
We have a limited block of rooms reserved at the Golden Nugget Hotel at special convention rates of $45 per night for
weekdays and $105 per night for Friday and Saturday nights. These rates will be available until May 11, 2015. Hotel
reservations should be made directly with the Golden Nugget Hotel by contacting the reservation department at 1-800-634-3454.
Tell them you are booking with the HAPA 60th Annual Conference with code “GSHAPA6”.
Please specify the “Hawaii Association of Public Accountants convention rate” when calling for these special room
rates, and make your hotel reservations as soon as possible.
