GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING … The next General Membership Meeting, all members are welcome, is Wednesday May 13, at 7:00 PM. BAR REMODEL … The first phase of our long awaited Bar Remodel is almost complete. When complete we will have a larger more comfortable bar offering increased seating. As soon as construction is complete, we will have a grand opening celebration. Watch the weekly emails for notice of the celebration. We will be offering drink and hors d’oeuvres specials for the celebration. KIDS FISHING DERBY … The annual Kids Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday May 9 at Lake Albert in Maple Glen for all kids 14 and under. The lake will be stocked with rainbow trout and fishing will begin at 9:00 AM and end at 1:00 PM. Hot dogs and Soft Drinks will be provided along with prizes for the largest fish. Be sure to bring your fishing gear and bait. Lake Albert is located at 5291 Hawthorne Lane in Maple Glen, at the end of Hawthorne Lane. From highway 525 turn onto Newman Road, turn onto Maple Glen Road, and follow the signs to Hawthorne Lane. Help is always needed assisting with the derby, and of course monetary donations are always needed. Give Jerry Johnson a call to volunteer. To donate drop off or mail a check to HHRG at PO Box 151 Langley Wa 98260 DUES & MEMBERSHIPS … It’s a new year and the dues notices for 2015 have been mailed. Most members have paid their 2015 dues, and the door lock has been changed. Your new key card is now required for entrance. If you have not yet paid, please send your dues as soon as possible to avoid losing your membership. Trap & Skeet Thursday at 12 Noon / Trap & Skeet & Sporting Clays Saturday at 12 Noon Range Orientation Class: Remember that the Board has determined that the use of our ranges, except for organized events, will require attendance at a Range Orientation & Safety Meeting and confirmation of that by wearing your membership badge with the yellow sticker given out at the meetings when you use the ranges. Our next Range Orientation & Safety class will be Tuesday May 5, 2015 at 7:00 pm in the Trap Shack. Range News: The Hank Bencala Pistol Shoot was held April 11 in which fifteen shooters competed. The match winner was Steve Mooney. Second place went to Jay Miazga and third place went to Bill Harding. May Events: Shooting events for May are: (1) Shotgun Shoot “Skeet Championship” on May 2 at 11 AM; (2) Pistol Shoot “Dirty Harry Warm Up” on May 9 at 10 AM; (3) Metallic Silhouette Shoot on May 16 at 9 AM on the Riffle Range (Riffle Range closed to other shooters); (4) A Steel Fun Match on May 23rd at 9 AM in the Action Pistol Bays. Restaurant News Restaurant Hours Tuesday – Thursday 2 to 8 / Friday 2 to 10 / Saturday 12 to 8 / Sunday 12 to 6 News: RESERVATIONS - RESERVATIONS - RESERVATIONS … As you may have noticed the club is growing and many nights are very busy – You can help us improve our diner service by making a reservation several days in advance. May Events: This month we have some exciting events planned. May 1st is our now famous Prime Rib Buffet and Dance with music by Deja Blooze; on May 22nd we are holding a Dinner Dance with music provided by The Mix Band and the Dinner Special is Dijon Chicken with Long & Wild Rice and Grilled Asparagus. May Tuesdays Nights: The club will now be open on Tuesdays, beginning May 12, for normal dinner service following more than a month of Tuesday Closures for the Bar remodel. May Wednesday Nights: Our kitchen staff is featuring our Famous Four Piece Fish & Chips for $1.00 off on each Wednesday this month. May Thursday Nights: Our kitchen staff will be preparing these mouth watering favorites: Beef Sliders, Chicken Taco Salad, Spaghetti and Meatballs, and Chicken & Rice Stuffed Peppers. Check the calendar for the schedule. May Friday Nights: On May 1st we have our now famous Prime Rib Buffet along with a limited menu; On May 8th we are serving Chicken Marsala Pasta in addition to our regular menu; On May 15th, we are offering foods from our regular menu; On May 22nd, we are serving Dijon Chicken in addition to our regular menu; and on May 29 th we are serving Lasagna with Salad & Garlic Bread in addition to our regular Menu.
