This US sire Andras New Direction is backed by outstanding
performance data and is described as a big bodied, capacious
powerhouse, with an outcross pedigree and robust phenotype.
We intend using him widely in our AI program, to improve
calving ease, growth and carcass. These embryos will give the
new owner the chance to tap into some of the very best and
most current genetics with built in fertility and soundness. Hicks
Red Angus are known as one of Australia’s largest Red Angus
performance herds.
DAM:
A beautiful young cow that offers a ton of growth, length and
carcass, with top 1% 400 day weight, top 1% 600 day weight
and top 10% eye muscle area and intra muscular fat. She is
structurally sound with great feet and udder. She calved before
her second birthday and again in her third year, now flushing.
Her pedigree includes our own sire Hicks Ada E565 that has
consistently produced our sale topping bulls since he started
with his first progeny. Her dam is from one of our top Patricia
families.

DAM:
This 10 year old cow does the lot. She has had 9 calves one
every year since a two year old. Four of her sons have been
used as sires in our herd. As a 10 year old cow she is as sound
as you can make them, with perfect feet and udder and great
temperament. She is backed by figures that are still up the top,
with better than average calving ease, top 10% growth and
top 5% carcass, muscle and IMF. SM Index $53, Vealer $42 and
Northern $51.Her pedigree is stacked with the who’s
who of the Red Angus breed with LCC Cheyenne a trait leader for
200 day, 400 day and 600 day growth and milk, and Leachman
Ladiesman, Leachman Heavenly, Leachman Robinhood all
performance leaders in their day. Combine this with Andras
New Direction, the latest US sire with a stacked pedigree of
the most successful bloodlines in the Red Angus world. He is
described as a crowd favourite. Study the photo to see why he is

herd was recognised this year when the family was awarded the
