Hitchcock-Tulare students selected as Stars in FFA From more than 240 State Degree applications, Tristin Fliehe, left, son of Jason and Kristi Fliehe, was selected as Star State Agriculture Placement at the State FFA Convention. He received $300 and the plaques. Keagan Mallon, right, son of Cory and Teresa Mallon, was runner-up as Star State Agribusiness at the State FFA Convention. He received $75 and the plaque. The Hitchcock-Tulare FFA Chapter also had 9 members that received their State Degrees. Their names are Tristin Fliehe, Landon Gatzke, Cooper Gordon, Eli Hofer, Trevor Hofer, Kyle Kohnen, Keagan Mallon, Cassie Schultz, and Shelby Stanfiel. Receiving scholarships at the State Level were Cassie Schultz receiving the Northland Ford Scholarship, Kyle Kohnen receiving the Monsanto Scholarship, and Cooper Gordon receiving the Marsh Scholarship. Meats team receives 2nd The Hitchcock-Tulare Meats Team placed 2nd, Gold rating, out of 26 teams. Every member of the team received a Gold rating by placing in the top ten. From left to right and their placing, Riley Binger 4th, Skye Chaplin 6th, Jordan Michlitsch 8th, and April Hamilton 9th. There were 87 contestants that judged Meats at state. The Agronomy Crops team from Hitchcock-Tulare placed 4th, Gold rating, out of 35 teams at State Convention. The team consisted of Anthony Anderson 10th, Gold, Camryn Binger 14th, Silver, Ally Binger 30th, Bronze, and Bailey Cole 34th, Bronze. There were 116 contestants. The Farm Business Management team from Hitchcock-Tulare placed 8th, Silver rating out of 39 teams. The team consisted of Tristin Fliehe 4th, Gold, Cooper Gordon 42nd, Silver, Trevor Hofer, and Keagan Mallon. The Milk Quality and Products team placed 19th out of 45 teams. The team consisted of Zach Binger 46th, Bronze, Kole Kohnen 57th, Bronze, Payton Binger, and Baylee Enander. The Veterinary Science team consisted of Cassie Schultz 69th, Bronze, Landon Gatzke, Saige Peterson, and Kyle Kohnen. The Horse Evaluation team consisted of Craig Mallon 38th, Silver, Alex Doren, Austin Schult, and Caileb Wanner. There were 4 individuals who received a Proficiency Award at State Convention. They were Jordan Michlitsch, 2nd place, Gold in Forest Management, Landon Gatzke 3rd place, Silver in Swine Production, Cassie Schultz 3rd place, Silver in Specialty Animal Production, and Eli Hofer 2ndplace, Bronze in Ag Mechanics Repair and Maintenance. Each individual received a cash award and a plaque.
